Chapter Thirty One

I stir and feel really hot, I crack my eyes open and see Elliot fast asleep.

He looks so peaceful and young.

I have a sudden urge to run my hands through his hair.

So I do.

It’s soft and it’s getting longer. He needs a haircut.

“Hi.” He mummers.

“Hi, I didn't wake you did I?”

“No, I was already awake.”

“Ok.”

“Are you ok?”

“Yes... No... I don't know.” I say.

Today is the day Peter gets his verdict and where I need to stand up and give my statement. I was nervous and I couldn’t have Elliot by my side, but I could have he was going to be there with everyone else, which was better than nothing.

“Baby, it will be ok he can’t hurt you or anyone else and he is going to get what he deserves.” He kisses me and I'm lost, I forget about the court case and Peter.

“As much as I would love laying in bed and kissing you all day, we have to get ready.” He says and pecks my lips and gets out of bed.

I pout and reluctantly get out of bed and go to the bathroom from for a shower.

When I emerge from the bathroom, Elliot is nowhere to be found, he’s probably downstairs.

I have to dress smartly for today so I put on a white frilly blouse and a black pencil skirt and some black tights and my black flats.

I do my hair in a straight, neat pony and have minimal make-up.

I look in the mirror and grin, you can see my pronounced belly.

“Wow, I'm getting huge. I'm only three months. You two better not get to big.” I say to my belly.

I walk downstairs and find Elliot alone in the kitchen; I go to the fridge and grab a juice and some fruit.

I sat next to Elliot.

“You look beautiful.” He said and rubbed my belly. “Six months and we will have these little monkeys.” He grins.

“I know, do you think we will be ok?” I ask.

“You are going to be the best Mom in the world and they are going to love you. We’re going to be a family and I can’t wait for it.”       

I smile at him and he grabs my face and kisses me passionately

“You’re so beautiful.” He whispers and bites my ear lobe.

I moan and turn to kiss him.

“Get a room.” Jake mumbled walking into the kitchen. “Oh you already did you know look at A.”

“Ha ha.” I said sarcastically.

I pulled away from Elliot and went back to eating my breakfast.

Thinking about Peter made me nervous and feel sick. I didn't want to see him; I want to forget about him.

Candy got expelled from school for pushing me; it was the last straw the principle said. I couldn’t help but laugh when I found out, I will not see her again and I couldn’t be happier. Now I'm going to get her uncle out of my life forever.

“Are you two ready to go?”

I jumped out of my deep thinking and looked up at Elliot in the doorway and Jake following him. Jake’s wearing a black suit with a blue and Elliot was wearing a grey suit with a pink tie they looked clean, smart and handsome..
