Chapter Thirty Three
“That one there.” She said pointing to one. “Is a boy.”
“Yes.” Elliot said under his breath.
I shook my head and blinked away tears.
“And this one is a girl, Congratulations.” She said.
I grinned and let the tears flow.
“Looks like I'm getting a foot massage tonight.” I said looking at a teary eyed Elliot.
“I will print some photos for you.” Doctor Ruth said and left
I got dressed and sat waiting for Doctor Ruth.
“One each.” Elliot said.
“Are you sad you lost the bet?” I asked.
“No, I'm happy that I have two healthy children and a beautiful girlfriend.” He grinned.
“I'm happy I have you guys.” I said rubbing my stomach.
“I hope our daughter is a Daddy’s girl.” He said.
“Please, she will have you wrapped around her finger.” I laughed.
“Yeah well our son is going to have you wrapped around his finger.” He said.
“You’re so immature, but yes I think they both will.” I grinned.
We pulled up at home and as soon as we got through the door we were ambushed.
“What are you having?”
“Did I win the bet?”
“Are they two girls?”
“What are my grandbabies?”
I laughed and strolled through to the kitchen.
“Stacy we better get ready for prom soon.” I said avoiding them.
“Oh yeah and I have to go early because I have to set up as well.” Elliot told me.
“I can’t wait to see you in a suit.” I winked.
“I can’t wait to see you in your dress but it will look even better on the floor late—”
“Enough. What are the bloody sexes?”
“Jeez, keep your hair on.” I said and fished out the scans from my purse.
“Wow, they are getting big.” Eva said. “I'm going to have strong healthy grandbabies.”
“What are they?” Riley exclaimed.
“Ok ok. We are having a boy and a girl.”
“What?”
“Why didn't I think of that?”
“Sweet.”
I laughed.
“Come on Stacy, I have to go see if I still fit into my dress.” I said and went upstairs.
We finally were ready and it was half six.
Prom started at seven, Elliot was already there, I haven’t seen him since this morning, and Stacy wouldn’t let me.
We had decided to go together; she couldn’t go with Riley as he didn't go to school.
“You look amazing Ari.” Stacy said.
I looked in the mirror, I was wearing a strapless long dress which was yellow at the top and pink, purple and blue blended into the bottom, I loved it. My hair was in its usual natural waves only with hair of my hair up and half down. My make up was perfect thanks to Stacy; I had yellow eye shadow and straight black eyeliner, mascara and bright pink lipstick to match with my dress.
