Chapter Thirty
We walked to the car silently.
“Holy Cow.” I shouted once we sat in the car.
Elliot chuckled. “We’re having twins.”
“We’re having twins.” I repeated.
It wasn’t sinking in.
“Baby, you’re ok right?” Elliot asked grabbing my hands in his.
“I don't know, I'm happy, I'm going to have two beautiful children. Twins in fact, but I'm scared you don’t want twins and you’re not going to want me.” I said looking away.
He tipped my head with his hands under my chin.
“Don’t ever think that, I'm so happy that we have twins, I would be happy if you were pregnant with ten babies. I'm happy and don't care because I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Do you understand? I don't want anyone else but you, I love you.” He whispered the last bit and I felt my eyes sting with tears.
“I'm happy too; I can’t believe we are having twins. I love you.” I kissed him, it wasn’t big but it was filled with love.
Elliot started the car and we headed back home.
“My Mom is going to have a fit.” He chuckled. “That means extra shopping.” he mumbled, sobering up.
“At least you don't have to shop with her and you’re not even pregnant.” I pouted.
“I will come, don't worry. How are you feeling about going to school tomorrow?” he asked.
I sighed; I didn't want to go to school. I know what everyone will say that I am a slut who got knocked up; I can’t tell them that I'm with someone I love because it’s Elliot and he’s my teacher.
“Nervous, I don't care what people say, it’s just frustrating that I can’t tell them that you are the Dad.” I mutter.
“You can in three months.” He kissed my knuckles.
“I like be six months.” My eyes widen. “Oh god, I'm going to look like a whale on graduation and prom.” I cried.
“No, you will look beautiful, and you will be my whale.” Elliot chuckled.
I glared at be. “Gee, thanks that made me feel better.” I looked at his giant grin and I couldn’t help but grin, it was infectious.
We pulled up at home and I noticed Eva and Mike’s car in the drive.
“Mom and Dad are here.” Elliot said confused.
“Come on Daddy.” I grinned at him and he grinned even more. “They probably came wanting to see the scan pictures; you know your Mom can’t wait.” I smiled and slipped my hand into his and he opened the door.
“There they are, let’s see the pictures.” Eva said as we walked through into the kitchen.
Eva, Mike, Jake and my parents were sitting in kitchen drinking coffee.
I looked up at Elliot and smirked and handed the pictures without telling them.
They all gathered round while I sat in a chair and Elliot went to the counter to make me a drink.
“Not being nasty, but is it deformed?” Jake asked.
Eva and my Mom hit him over the head.
“No.” I said. “Thank you.” I told Elliot as he sat beside me and gave me my tea.
