Chapter Twenty Six
It’s been two weeks since I finally got away from Peter, Toby being shot and Peter being locked away.
His trial is in two weeks, I have to give witness along with everyone else.
Toby and I are starting school again today, I waited for him.
Well truth be told I didn’t want to go back; I didn't even want to go today.
I sighed and got out of bed, I was getting annoyed also because I haven’t seen Elliot that much, with my parents constantly with me and trying to make it up to me, me being with Toby and the hospital, Elliot being back at work and the police or Lucas with me or questioning me.
I was exhausted but I was only looking forward to go to school so I will see Elliot more.
With that in mind I had a shower and now choosing my clothes.
There was a knock at the door and my mom poked her head through the door.
“Hey sweetie, I was just seeing if you were ok... going back at school today.”
“Yeah, I just don't know what to wear.” I said avoiding eye contact
“Hm...Ok... Why don't you... wear this.” She said pulling out a long navy jumpsuit with a gold rope belt and picked out my gold peep toe heels to go with it. I had to admit it was cute.
“Thanks m-mom.” I stuttered grabbing some panties and a strapless bra as my jumpsuit has spaghetti straps.
“What’s wrong?” she said.
I sighed even though she wasn’t a great mom at the beginning she still knows when I'm upset.
“Well, I don't really want to go, I'm scared.” I admitted.
“Hunnie, it’s going to be fine, you’ve been fine and now you’re suddenly scared of going to school.” She said. “and anyway, you have all your friends there, Toby is going with you and you have Elliot there too.” She stated.
I felt better, she was right I had all my friends and family so why was I scared.
“Your right, thanks mom.” I smiled.
When she left I got changed, it was cute, I had no idea why I was wearing heels I never wore them to school.
I put eyeliner and mascara on and even added a little gold eye shadow. I put my hair in a side fishtail plait.
I looked in the mirror and felt my jaw drop.
The girl in the mirror wasn’t me. “What the hell.” I commented.
It didn’t even look like me.
I walked down stairs, I could hear numerous voices.
I walked into the kitchen curious to see who else was here.
My mom and dad were sitting with Stacy, Jake and Toby.
I smiled, I missed them and it felt like ages since I’ve hung out with Stacy and Jacob.
I walked in further and they spun to look at me.
I laughed as they had the facial expression I had.
“Wait... what are you gawking at?” I said sobering up.
“When the hell did you get so sexy?” Jake asked.
