I grabbed the towel and wiped the steam off the mirror and looked at my bright red face, if I'm being honest I looked like a tomato . I then washed my face, brushes my teeth and put some moisturiser on. I looked around the bath room only to realise I forgot to bring clean clothes in with me, I mentally slapped myself in the face and the tightened the towel around me making sure it wouldn't fall off as I walked to my room.
I pulled the door open a quickly started to walk down the corridor to my room, my mind focused on trying not to trip over my own feet that I didn't realise someone walking towards me until it was too late.
I walked straight into someone's chest, straight away their arms wrapped around my waist and mine clung around their neck to stop myself from falling.
"Hey." Said a deep masculine voice.
"Hi." I said as my cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I looked up to see the person who I had walked in to, I was surprised to say the least. Standing in front of me was a boy who looked to be around my age. He had dark brown hair that was shorter at the sides and longer on top and was style up. He had a narrow nose, high cheekbones and a well defined jaw. His whole face was specked with freckles which you could probably only see if you were as close to him as I was. His eyes were like nothing I'd ever seen they were as green as the forest and were framed by long dark eyelashes that casted shadows on his cheek bones.
"Well this is a nice first encounter" he smirked with his arms still around my waist and mine around his neck.
As soon as he said that I stumbled backwards completely forgetting that I was holding on to him and him holding on to me and dragged us both onto the floor. I could feel my cheeks burning, as I looked back at him ready to apologise I saw the smirk on his face and realised we were in a very awkward position. We were in the middle of a corridor with me in a towel and him lying on top of me with his arms either side of my head to support himself.
"Well, I've never met a new person in this way. What's you name?" He asked. But made no effort to move.
"It Eira, and can you please get off of me."
"Eira, that's an unusual name." He stated
"It's a Welsh name, now please get off." I said trying to keep my cool and not explode at him.
"Welsh, huh." He said curiously completely ignoring my last sentence.
"Get off." I said pushing his his chest.
"Ahh...that's a very nice name, Eira. I'm Dylan" he said and started to push himself up with no effort at all.
Once he was standing he held his hand out to me which I gladly took making sure my other hand was holding up my towel. As soon as our hands joined I felt tingles shoot up my arm but if Dylan felt it he didn't let it show.
"Well, Eira. It was nice to meet you. Probably the most interesting way I've ever met someone." He said with a smile showing his perfect straight white teeth.
I ducked my head and stared at the floor. "Yeah um...sorry about that. I've...um got to go get changed."
"See ya around then." He said.
"Yep, see you later." I said and started walking to my room. "I'm gonna go and call my family, wish me luck."
"Good luck, I know what it's like to have a crazy family. Speaking of which I've got to go and drag my sister to the family meal which we're being force to go to, so I'll probably see you tomorrow." He said with a small smile. "It's going to be so fun." He said sarcastically.
"Have fun with that. I'm sure it will be amazing." I replied equally as sarcastic.
"Yep it will. Wish me luck?" He said with a laugh.
"Good luck." I said with a smile, to which he smiled back waved and then disappeared down the corridor.
Before anything else could happen I ran into my room threw on a pair of shorts and a baggy t-shirt. I then went to my bed and died in embarrassment over what just happened. The first time I met someone, I run into the in a towel, then drag them backwards as I fall to the ground and have them stay on top of me for a good five minutes before getting up and having a small conversation with him when the towel could have fell at any moment!
"Ugh!!" I groaned out loud thinking about it.
Knock, knock!
"Yeah" I shouted to the person through the door.
"Um...can I come in?"
"Sure" I replied
"You okay?" Debbie asked as she walked through the door.
"Yeah I'm good" I said.
"Okay well I just came to tell you that dinner will be ready soon." Debbie told me.
"Oh...okay do you think I'll have enough time to call my mum and brother?" I asked
"Yeah, I'll keep it warm for you," Debbie told me "just come down when you're ready. I'll see you in a minute."
"Okay bye." I smiled and watched as Debbie walked out and closed the door.
I then got my phone from my bedside table and called my mums number, she picked up after a few rings and we spoke for a while before she had to go.
After I finished speaking to her and Rob I went downstairs to eat some dinner and then went upstairs and collapsed on my bed, I thought about how embarrassing my day was as I slowly drifted to sleep.
