Chapter three: Why Can't We Be Friends? 😞

"Why?" I scoffed, "You're really asking me why I don't want to be your friend?" I repeated. Ryder just simply nodded, baffled. Wow, must be a shocker that someone denied you, eh pretty boy?

"I apologised!" He shouted, running his hands through his gorgeous locks of golden hair... omfg ALEX STOP.

"Do you think I really care about the fact that you did have intentions of hitting me?" I retorted, "because I don't, I don't care if you wanted to hurt me! What I care about is your drive behind it... where was the reason?"

Ryder paused for a moment, I watched the colour creep up his cheeks and stain the top of his ears red. "There wasn't." He said bluntly, ashamed. I'm not going to say he's an emotionless fuckboy who feels little to no emotion, that's wrong. He does have emotions and he is capable of caring. He just chooses not to.

I understand that from your perspective, it's all "he feels bad because he likes you" no. Your wrong, he feels bad because he has done something wrong. He likely is sorry. Not that I care though.

"See, there wasn't. You didn't need to, you chose to." I snapped, "Deal with it."

Ryder sighed and rubbed his hand down his face... his veins in his hand were popping, clearly he had something on his mind more troubling than me telling him where he stands.

"Listen, please just... sit with me at lunch or something. I want to make it up to you." He pulled a face, it was the face a child would give you when you tell them "No more cookies." In other words, pathetic.

"You think that sitting with your group of goons will make my day?" I said sarcastically, with a fake smile plastered across my face. Ryder groaned and shot me an exasperated look.

"Please. You won't be on your own, Lexi and Shannon sit with us too." He pushed, "Just please... only for today and then you can go back to doing whatever the hell you do." He looked around confused, "what do you do? You just spend all your time alone anyway. What are you missing?"

I didn't show it but... that hurt. Being someone who nobody bothers with kind of means that I'm a loner. Unintentionally, I don't want to be lonely but what can you do? You cant force someone to be your friend. "I'm not missing anything." I said truthfully.

Ryder smiled, chuckling, "Then... sit with us."

I shook my head, "Ryder-"

"NOPE. Come on Vom-Atron." He grabbed my arm and lead me into the cafeteria. I never ever go into the cafeteria of a lunch time. Instantly, every girl diverted their attention to me and glared. If looks could kill... I'd be dead.

He shoved me into one of the seats and sat beside me. The table was quiet for a bit, nobody talked or smiled... I doubted half of them were even breathing. "Well, well, well Monroe. Welcome to your wildest dream!" Ace cooed, wrapping his arm around the two chairs either side of him. Ace was surprisingly handsome, I would have thought he'd be less appealing up close but no... he was gorgeous. He had soft brown hair that was always pushed up, his eyes were a deep hazel and his eyebrows... his eyebrows.

"You done?" Ace said, smirking.

"I'm sorry, I've just-" Ace held his hands up.

"No, Monroe it's cool, I was playing." He said, laughing.

Lunch was okay, I was introduced to Lexi and Shannon who were close friends of the group. The group consisting of Ryder, Ace, Foster and Landon. They were not as bad as I thought they'd be, I actually laughed a few times. Mainly thanks to Ace. Foster was fairly quiet and kept to himself other than the usual comment or look. Landon was sweet, he complimented me a few times but I didn't know how to react...

"So Alex, what class do you have next?" Shannon asked.

"Athletics." I said, smiling.

"Sweet! We're together!" She squealed, gripping mine and Lexi's hands. Shannon was incredibly beautiful, she had long black hair and onyx eyes. An unusual look about her but stunning nonetheless.

Lexi was also pretty, she was blonde. Your typical leggy blonde to be honest. However, she was one of the nicest girls I have ever met. Considering I haven't really spoken to her much and already adore her, she's off to a good start.

We said our goodbyes to the boys and made our way over to the football field... oooh the last time I was on here. I nearly got a concussion, deliberately.

"Alright girls, we are on the track again. The boys want the football field again." Mrs Sharma said, strutting into the changing room.

  This should be fun...
