Other: When Michael realized what death meant, meaning he knew he'd never see his mother again, he went mute at age 3. He refused to speak to anyone for seven years and just spoke with hand gestures and small sounds. Nobody forced him to speak in spite of him being taken to therapists and psychologists to help him. The day he met Travis he felt immediately drawn in by him. Seeing him as a sort of paternal figure since their father was rather cold even though he tried to be affectionate. He finally spoke out at age 10 when Travis was about to walk away from all of them forever and after that things got better when Travis decided to stay.
