MOUNT JUSTICE

October 1, 18:13 EDT

 I was at the Cave with everyone else in civvies. Kaldur and Robin were sparing with each other, while Captain Marvel and Zatara were to the side watching with me. The two stopped their sparing, and the training floor dimmed as Conner, M'gann, and Wolf walked in. The three of them walked to the side as I walked up to Kladur and Robin. 

 "You know they're a couple, right?" Robin whispered to us. 

 "Yep," I said bluntly. 

 "I believe I knew before they did," Kaldur said. Wally and Artemis walked into the room as well. 

 "Do we tell them?" Robin asked. 

 "It's not our place," Kaldur answered. I nodded, agreeing. They'll know when M'gann and Conner tell them. Kaldur and Robin figured it out by themselves, and M'gann told me already. 

 "So if Zatara's our babysitter of the week, why is he here?" Wally asked, talking about Captain Marvel. "And why's he eating my snacks?" Marvel was indeed eating Wally's snacks. 

Recognized Batman. 0-2  

 The zeta tubes went off as the Dark Knight himself came into the room. "Computer, national news," he said and a hologram of Cat Grant reporting in Metropolis. 

 "The initial attack was short-lived, but Metropolis was only granted a short reprieve," Cat said, and the screen changed to giant plant things sprouting from the streets, strangling buildings, crushing one of them. "And despite the intervention of Superman and the Justice League, there seems to be no end in sight." The screen showed Superman saving two people from a crumbling building. Hawkgirl and Hawkman were swinging their maces at the plants, with one of the Green Lanterns slicing at the plants with a green sword. 

 "Should we get out there?" Robin asked.

 Batman turned to us. "No. The League will soon have the situation under control. That's not why I'm here," he said and a hologram image of Sportsmaster appeared next to Batman. "According to your Intel, Sportsmaster supplied Cadmus's Blockbuster formula to Kobra."

 "Who combined it with Bane's venom to create Kobra-Venom," Wally added. 

 "Which the Brain used to create his animal army," Robin said. 

 "And upgrade Wolf," Superboy said, scratching under Wolf's chin. 

 "The Brain also used inhibitor collars like the ones used at Belle Reve penitentiary," M'gann informed.

 "Batman, is it possible that plant thingy is on Kobra-Benom, too?" Artemis asked. 

 "I had Green Lantern run a spot analysis," Batman said, pulling up a holo keypad, and a things that looked like red and purple spiked balls. "Divine cellulose does contain trace amounts of a Kobra-Venom variant."

 "These cannot be coincidences, unrelated criminals are cooperating with one another worldwide," Kaldur said. It does seem strange. While Aqualad was talking, Robin had pulled up another hologram keypad, and started typing on it. 

 "Exactly, it's now clear our enemies has formed some kind of secret society of super villains. The attack on Metropolis is only the beginning," Batman said.
