Liza Koshy

I parked my car at the chipotle. My fingers moved up to the temple of my nose, as I looked down stressfully. How could I have been so oblivious? All this time, he'd been cheating on me, and I had absolutely no idea. My thoughts continued to consume me, and my phone continued to blow up with concerned-worry-filled text messages.

How the hell did I end up like this?

earlier that night...

I sat in my room getting ready for my best friends party. As I did so, my boyfriend, Lucas snuck up behind me, stealing a kiss on my neck.

"Babyyyy, you take forever to get ready!" He pouted as I softly chuckled, and responded teasingly. "Beauty takes time and effort Luke, you know I don't always naturally just look this good." She joked.

"Well, I think you personally still looked pretty damn hot without all the makeup." He smiled and kissed my cheek, causing my face to fluster up. "Oh stop it Lukey, don't flatter me!" I teased slowly getting up, as the two of us chuckled everything off.

"So does this mean your finally done?!" He asked in hopes of me having a nod at him. "Yes, I'm 'finally' done." She teased letting her arms dangle around his shoulders.

"Well finally!" He grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the car. "Let's hurry up and go before all of the good alcohol is taken!" He whined as I just laughed at his neediness.

The two of us arrived at the party. I looked over at him, seeing as he had been about to get out of the car. I grabbed his shoulder. "Wait, Lucas!" He looked back at her with a confused look. "Can you please promise to stay with me during the party...?" I asked in a soft tone as he simply responded with a smile at first.

"Where else would I rather be?" He smiled and pecked his girlfriend on the lips before the two of them walked inside. Lucas had always been so sweet and caring toward me, and to be completely honest, I absolutely loved it.

Lucas lied. He lied to me completely. It was about 12:30, only 30 minutes of being there that I had realized Lucas completely ditched her. I figured he'd just gotten distracted actually, and ran off with some friends somewhere. But I wasn't expecting what was to come next.

I walked up to my best friend/the host of the party, Gabbie in hopes that she would know where Lucas would be. "Hey Gabbie?" I tried to get the attention of the drunk brunette. "Gabble? Gabbie, have you seen Lucas?!" I asked slightly annoyed by now.

I sighed to myself, as I received no answer from her, despite sitting in front of me while she hooked up with her current boyfriend, Zane. I decided that I'd probably check upstairs, in case he had realized that I was upstairs and came looking for him.

The upstairs area was mostly filled with drunk hookups and makeouts. The bathroom door was wide open with a whole line of random drunk people puking. But there had still been no sign of Lucas.

As I continued to look around upstairs, I noticed a closed door. And without hesitation I opened it in hopes of finding my boyfriend.

I thankfully did. But not in the way you'd expect. My heart began to pound rapidly, and the smile held on my face turned into a frown. The hookup looked up at me, more specifically the boy was. Warm tears formed in my eyes, as Lucas looked up at me with worrisome eyes. He cheated on me. That was the only thought that managed to come into my mind.

My heart slowly began to broke, as warm tears formed in her eyes. Lucas got up off the bed, as the the other girl stood there glaring. I dashed out of the room as fast as I could. I brushed past everyone not caring about who saw me.

How were you that stupid? How long had he been cheating on you? Why were you oblivious? What did you do to deserve all of this. My thoughts rushed inside of my mind.

Gabbie eventually noticed me, halfway while I was outside the house. "Liza, are you okay? Whyyyy are you running?" Gabbie asked still half drunk struggling to chase me down. I ignored her, still running to my car almost in tears.

I slammed my door as Gabbie stood outside of it, slightly confused, as I drove off as fast as I could into the night. Soft warm tears started to stream down my face as I drove down the road trying to wipe them away.

After minutes of thinking of where to just sit and cry, the one place that still made me happy caught the corner of my eye. It wasn't gonna be open, but even if I couldn't taste their food, I'd still rather be here anyway.

My car pulled into the Chipotle parking lot. I turned off the radio. I turned off my car, and I sat in silence. The windows of my car had been rolled down, so I sat there for what seemed like hours just in thought. I couldn't even cry anymore after a while, it felt as if my whole world had gone numb. My fingers moved up to the temple of my nose, as I looked down stressfully. How could I have been so oblivious? All this time, he'd been cheating on me, and I had absolutely no idea. My thoughts continued to consume me, and my phone continued to blow up with concerned-worry-filled text messages.

"Uh... excuse me, miss?" A man in all black, wearing chipotles uniform, slightly knocked on my door, noticing my window was open. "I don't mean to be a bother, but, it's past 12 am... I'm afraid you can't park here anymore..."
