Liza Koshy
one week later...
—
It's been a week since I met David. I can't stop thinking about what happened that night. Except, I'm not thinking about the cheating; I'm thinking about what happened between David and I. I found myself still sitting in my car, as I zoned out of my thinking. Oh right. You need to drive to Gabbies Liza.
Starting the car, I drove down the road all the way to Gabbies house. I haven't contacted or answered any calls from anyone ever since what happened. Well one person made an exception, obviously. But I mean, I felt like I was so close to him already. I parked the car in Gabbies driveway, and breathed in a deep sigh.
I began walking up to Gabbies front doorway, and as I stood at the front doorstep, I knocked. My heart pounded as I waited for an answer nervously forgetting at my hands.
A couple seconds later, a surprised Gabbie opened up the door. "I'm so sorry I didn't take your calls Gabbie. I got so caught up with everything that happened that night, I found out Lucas was cheating on me. And I couldn't go and get any of my stuff because I was too afraid to see him again. Everything's just a complete mess, and I really don't want you to be upset with me and I'm just so sor–"
Gabbie softly smiled, and placed a hand on my shoulder. She pulled me into a comforting hug, as I met arms with her back. The two of us stood in a long lasting hug for what seemed like hours, but ended up being only a couple minutes. "Does this mean you forgive me...?" I muffled into her shoulder as she slightly chuckled and nodded.
"Yes Liza, this means I forgive you." She responded with another chuckle. She walks me inside of her house, and lets me sit at the table with her. She grabbed me and her both, a water, as she soon sat across from me.
There was only silence for a couple of moments, until I decided it'd be best to ask the question that had been eating up inside of me for a while now. "Has Lucas, tried to contact anyone ever since that night...?" I asked nervously about stuttering on my words.
"Yes..." Gabbie trailed off on her words. "He mostly tried to contact me though." Gabbie admitted, as my face went spiraling. "But I refuse to answer. I will not tolerate anyone who hurt you." Gabbie slightly smiled as my face grew satisfied.
"Thanks Gabbie, for being here." I smiled at her as her as she nodded upward at me. "Of course, I'll always be here for you. You're my best friend." She smiled back at me, placing her hand on top of mine.
Time passed by as the two of us sipped the rest of our water up silently, watching the tv she had left on. "So, besides the fact of coming over to let me know that you're okay, why did you come over?" She asked.
Well shnitty winkles. I guess I won't be bribing her way over to my side then. "Well Gabbie, I kind of need a favor." She looked at me and nodded. "So um, since Lucas owns the house and I obviously can't stay with him anymore..." I trailed off. "Can I love in with you?" I asked playfully pouting and looking into my friends eyes sweetly.
Gabbie sighed slightly annoyed, she looked up at Liza. "Okay... fine." She finally agreed after thinking about it for a moment. I smiled happily. This was probably the best news I've gotten all day. I hugged my friend tightly and playfully once again. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I playfully smiled, as she responded with a laugh. "You're welcome Liza."
"Just think of it Gabbie, we'll be like Joey and Chandler from friends!" I smiled brightly as she laughed at me once again. "Oh this'll be interesting alright..." She admitted chuckling and walking over to sit on the couch.
I walked over and sat beside Gabbie, as the two of us sat together. We sat back and began to watch a show called 'Pretty Little Liars' that Gabbie recently wanted me to binge with her. Maybe living with Gabbie would do some good in life. She could probably help get me back on track of preparing for college next year too.
"Oh, and Liza?" Gabbie asked looking over at her. "What's up Gabbie?" I responded to Gabbie. "Will you pretty please come with me to go to Target?" She asked pouting her lip.
I chuckled at Gabbie and rolled my eyes playfully. "Fineeee, but we'll leave in a half an hour." Liza told her. "DEAL!" She said happily and turning back to watch Pretty Little Liars.
