Liza Koshy—
After a successful text marathon, with David. I was still sober from all the cheesy smiles that appeared on my face. I was more than excited to go to the party with David, but at the same time I was a nervous wreck that everything would end up like last time.
A honk was slammed in a car which caused me to jump a bit, frightened. I realized I had been standing in the middle of the sidewalk, for what seemed like forever as Gabbie had been waiting for me in the car to go to Target.
"Elizabeth Shalia Koshy, get in the fucking car!" Gabbie yelled pretty loudly, as I frighteningly walked over to the car door.
"Whoops I kinda zoned out there..." I chuckled nervously shutting the car door, as Gabbie rolled her eyes playfully.
"Jeez, you stood there forever Elizabeth. You just stared at your phone, and smiled while your thumbs moved frantically. What was so important?" She asked as she began driving down the road to Target
"Uh nothing in particular." I quickly lied to her, and smiled as I buckled my seatbelt, looking to the other side to face the window.
"No girl ever just smiles and stares at their phone as if they weren't doing anything on it Liza. Now tell me what's going onnn." Gabbie caught her out smirking, as she stopped at a stoplight and turned to Liza.
I sighed knowing their was no way out of the situation now. "Ill tell you fine, but Gabbie I swear if you tell anyone about anything your about to hear, I will come and personally have you killed." Liza chuckled threateningly, but jokingly.
"Jeez chill out ya psychotic little brown girl I wont tell anyone." Gabbie told her laughing, but kinda scared that she was serious and lowkey backing away.
I chuckled nervously, while breathing in slowly as well. "Well, Gabbie. There's this guy I met... the night of the party...-"
"Wowwowowow... was this before you stormed out crazily or after you stormed out crazily...?!" She asked beginning to drive down the road again.
I sighed, knowing Gabbie would most likely say something in remarks of how David was just a rebound when he was nothing like that. "Afterward." I breathed out slowly sighing already knowing what was coming.
"Oh my god Liza, do you even realize what you're doing. I don't care who this 'david' guy is, he's a rebound." Gabbie bluntly admitted to me as I rolled my eyes almost so far to the point where I could see the back of my head.
"Gabbie, he's not a rebound trust me. David's actually a genuinely sweet guy, he gave me free chipotle! I mean who gives just any kind of food, let alone Chipotle for free?!" I bonded over David with Gabbie as she just sighed with an annoyed tone.
"Whatever Liza, if he makes you happu. But you need to understand that you're probably only feeling this in replacement of Lucas not being here anymore." Gabbie tried to explain to her, as Liza groaned at Gabbie once more.
"Gabbie, he's not a fucking rebound okay. He's a genuinely sweet guy, and he's actually really adorable. He helped me through that night, when you were too drunk to barely follow me out of that damn door anyway! I'm sick of you telling me what's right from wrong. I'm my own person and I'm even hanging out with him Saturday no matter what you're ass thinks about it or us! I know how to deal with my own shitty problems!" I snapped, as Gabbie was kind of shook by my actions mainly cause i rarely ever cussed but when Indid, it was because I was mad.
Gabbie sighed guiltily, and focused more toward the road then usual. "Look Liza, I'm sorry okay, I really just don't want you taking the wrong paths and doing the wrong mistakes. I've made a lot of unfixable mistakes in the past, and I know how much it effected me." She admitted. "But the thing is, I just really don't want all those feelings to be effecting you." Gabbie mumbled nervously, wanting to hug her best friend but she was driving.
"Gabbie just don't worry about me okay. I know how to take care of myself, I promise I won't make your past mistakes... I know better." I ensured Gabbie sighing and fidgeting around with both of my hands nervously.
"Liza, it's hard not too. You're my best friend and I care so deeply about you." Gabbie admitted with a saddening smile on her face.
"Just please don't Gabbie, okay you have no idea how much I don't want you worrying about me for the rest of my life. Okay, I'll be fine. I really will." I told her, as we pulled into the Target parking lot.
"Promise?" Gabbie asked as she parked the car. "Promise." I responded bluntly with a small smile on my face. The two of us then hugged for a couple seconds as Gabbie parked her car.
"Alright, so is everything settled then? Can we finally go into Target and make some puns for my vineee?" Gabbie asked chuckling, and slowly releasing the hug.
I laughed slightly. "Yes Gabbie were cool, and waaait. Why are we actually going into Target Gabbie?" I asked oddly, as she responded nervously.
"Well let's just say it's for the internet, and not for shopping." Gabbie admitted rubbing the back of her neck, and I laughed rolling my eyes.
Gabbies a pain in the ass. How could you not love her though? I thought to myself.
