First Love (Book 1 of the Corrupt Series)

Begin

I followed Yoongi into a small room where two chairs were set up across from each other. Yoongi sat down on one chair and gestured for me to sit on the other.

"Cerise," Yoongi said. "Are you aware what color the earth is?" he asks.

I frowned. That was such a random question!

Without even thinking I said, "It's mostly green and blue." I regret it instantly. That information is felonious to know!

To my surprise, Yoongi smiles. "Do you know what blue and green look like?" he asks.

I shake my head, not knowing where he is going with this.

Yoongi holds up two sheets of paper. Both sheets are gray but one is slightly darker than the other. "This is blue," Yoongi says, pointing to the darker gray paper. "And this is green," he said, pointing to the lighter paper.

I pause. Wait... He can see color?!

Yoongi notices my confusion. "I see color," he says. "You will be able to soon."

"What? How? When?" I bombard Yoongi with one-word questions.

"Well. If you are constantly surrounded by people who are able to see color, you will soon be able to too," Yoongi explained. "As for when? It will soon be taking effect after you begin your activeness in this organization by choosing a new name."

"A new name?" I ask.

"A new name," Yoongi nods. "Welcome to COLOR."
