"Hey! Guys! Aren't they your sisters?" A boy shouted, nudging Joel. Joel and Janie looked up to see their unconscious older sister being wheeled in to an ambulance on a stretcher, closely followed by an ambulance crew member, carrying Kate. They glanced at each other, looking horrified, and set off barging a path through the crowd of students, trying desperately to reach the ambulance before it set off.
"Hey! HEY!" Joel shouted to the ambulance crew as they began closing the ambulance doors.
"Woah there." A man in an ambulance uniform stopped them. "Are they your family members?"
"Yes! Yes! They're our sisters!" Joel shouted, standing as tall as he could to try check on them.
"You two stay here, I will go with them." A deep voice boomed.
"And you are?" The ambulance man asked.
"I'm the head teacher of this school and it is my duty to ensure the safety and welfare of all my students." Mr Kane said, shooting a smug smile at the twins.
"Like f-" Joel began as Janie clasped a hand over his mouth. He scowled and pushed her hand away, glaring at Mr Kane.
"Very well." The ambulance man agreed, going around to the front of the van as Mr Kane clambered in to the back and shut the doors with an evil grin. The twins stood staring, horrified, as their siblings were taken to the hospital with the man that put them there. And there was nothing they could do about it.
