My mom stared at me in Serena's room staring at the body mirror to stare at my unappealing appearance "Well" she giggled "It only works because you look like Serena" she cupped her mouth "It's not bad! Really! I think you looked good with the first outfit you had when you came here as well" I sighed and turned to face her
"It only works because I look like her, but this isn't my style. My designs are based on her personality and fashion, not mine"
"Why don't you create something you like?"
"That'll be a nightmare. No one is going to buy my clothes. Besides... I promised my agent that I'll wear my own designs in order for me to stay here longer. It's suppose to be advertising, but being a designer is a nightmare to begin with" I mumbled on the last part
"What was that?" Mom asked. I sighed, staring at my pink knee high dress, long sleeves, brown belt, and boots
"Nothing" even if I hate my job, it's just the only thing I'm pretty much good at. Beside using my brains, there's nothing really out there for me to enjoy. I only do it for Serena
"I think you should at least try and see how your own style will turn out. Not everyone is the same, dear" that's true, I guess "So what's this about getting permission from your agent?"
"Oh, he just likes keeping me busy with fashion shows and request. I needed this break and decided to use to it find Serena. He hadn't plan my vacation, but it's pretty easy to persuade anyone if you know what you're doing" mom looked at me through the mirror confused
"What are you trying to say?" She shook her head "Isn't your father suppose to be your agent? Why is it someone else? Do you ever even see that man?" I didn't want to talk about this
"It's best if you didn't know" she frowned as I grabbed my designer bag I also created "it's fine mom... I'm so busy that I don't really have time for myself. Believe me" I looked out the window "I was just fine without him"
"I see... I can't blame you for hiding things from me" she hugged herself "Just be careful, please" I nodded and followed her downstairs, where someone was already knocking on the door
"Who the fu-" I tried not to curse "oh, let me guess" I rolled my eyes annoyed and walked to the kitchen to grab a quick snack when mom opened the door for Shauna and Calem. Fennekin jumped from the couch to greet them
"Hey Fennekin!" Shauna cheered, picking it up to cuddle "How's it been? It's been pretty lonely without you around!"
"Then you should had kept it if you felt that way" I slammed the cabinet door shut, loudly. Everyone but Calem frowned at me "I don't know why it had to be here when you were the one who was going to take care of it, but now that I'm leaving, you can either keep it or leave it here with mom"
"What's wrong, Sophia? Can't take a little company" Calem sweat dropped
"You shut your mouth!" He chuckled. Shauna quickly looked at him and frowned
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed"
"Want a piece of me!?" Shauna stared at us going back in forth, confused for a moment before her frown slowly turned into a gentle smile "What are you staring at?" I snarled. She flinched
"N-Nothing!" She looked down at Fennekin turning its back towards me, giving me that sad frown "It's true... Why haven't you said anything this whole week if Fennekin was being a bother to you?"
"My mom took care of it, and it took care of her. I didn't have the right to take it from her since it belongs to Serena"
"You really don't like Pokémon, do you?" Calem smiled "That's going to be too bad, since you're going to go out on a Pokémon journey. Just so you know, with that attitude of yours, who's going to help you when you get attacked?" Chills went up my spine at the thought. Mom furrowed her brows when seeing my eyes widen in horror for a split second before I snapped out of it
