Moonlit Love

Here's another short imagine. Idk if it's even good but I had a lot of fun writing it. Anyways enjoy!

Strands of moonlight lit Alexandria's streets as a bright smile grew on your face.

You had been staring out of the window for nearly half an hour- and you loved every second of it. Not having to worry about biters or people, it gave you a new found hope, a new desire to live, and this is the happiest you've been since this whole mess of a world started.

As your eyes wandered, you had seen the clock out of the corner of you E/C eyes and sighed slightly, having to pull yourself away from the glossy window and get ready.

Since you and the rest of the group had just arrived in here, there was a party celebrating it tonight. A frown grew on your brow knowing you'd have to leave the house you shared with Maggie and Glenn, but you again found happiness as you stared at the dress Maggie had left for you.

It was a white dress that was tight around your waist, but flowy to just above your knees. It had 3 small brown buttons that sat at the top of your chest, and the brown buttons lined your back. Maggie had also left a pair of brown heeled shoes which complimented everything perfectly. You mentally thanked Maggie, you were still getting used to having so much stuff and you definitely did not want to dress too lavishly.

After you had slid the dress onto your body, you had decided a H/C side braid down your front was your best option. You sat down on your white comforter and stared into a full body mirror before grabbing a handful of your hair and braiding it.

Your H/L H/C hair reflected the moons rays of light while you had quickly finished braiding it. You had then stood up and ran downstairs but ended up falling due to not being used to heels. "Jesus, Im like a newborn elephant", you muttered quietly while laughing ever so slightly. You stood shaking before continuing your journey to the bathroom. Once you had reached it, you applied the makeup Maggie had collected, putting on a full face including an eyeshadow you could barley see and a dark brown almost burgende coloured matte lip.
Everything was finally done.

Glenn and Maggie had instructed that the three of you would meet at Jessie's house, where the party was being held, so you went outside and began walking.

Wind picked up slightly as you walked out, but you found it quite nice. Your mind had pulsed with different thoughts before you had accidentally bumped into someone. "Oof", you sighed before looking up to see Carl's arms secured around your waist so you wouldn't fall. A bright smile tugged on your face before you placed a soft kiss to his lips. An astonished smile then grew on Carl's face as he looked at you.

He was wearing the classic blue flannel, white shirt and jeans he wore often but you noted that this time they were clean. "Y-You look amazing", Carl said wholeheartedly as blush rushed to your cheeks and the two of you continued walking.

"So I look gross every other day", you questioned with a smirk as he began stuttering and you had laughed, tangling your hand in his. You both then arrived at Jessie's where you saw the rest of your group but it didn't feel like you actually knew them. They all looked way too clean.

As the night carried on, you found yourself standing alone after an argument with Eugene over the best character in the tv show lost. You fidgeted with your hands and tried to look occupied,but failed. Carl had saw this and broke off his conversation with Ron and walked over to you." "Hey there beautiful", Carl sang sweetly from behind you as he wrapped his lithe arms around your waist. A slight yelp left your lips before you turned around to plant a kiss on his lips.

As you had went in for a gentle, soft kiss he had had other plans. He bit your lip, and slid his tongue in while he hands began wandering slightly. You had then broke off the kiss as Daryl, Michonne and Deanna laughed at the sight before them.

"Easy there tiger", you spoke quietly before excusing yourself from the party and dragging Carl along with you outside. The starlight shone directly onto Carl, making him more attractive if that's even possible. After closing the door you and Carl held hands and wrapped your fingers around each other's before taking a stroll down the streets of Alexandria.

"You know, I've never seen you so clean", you joked quietly as if you were trying not to disturb the stars. "I could say the same thing", he said with a smirk before you elbowed him. The two of you had then made your way to the wall and you both had climbed to the top to sit and keep watch. Carl had asked for you to climb up first but you politely declined knowing he just wanted to stare at your ass.

"Sorry babe, at least you tried", you joked as he made it to the top and then lent you a hand. You two both sat down with you sitting in Carl's lap and his arms around your waist.

"Hey Carl"? You said before quietly, breaking the comforting silence. "Yeah", he questioned, waiting for you to speak. "Do you- Do you really think we can survive here? I mean we thought the same about the prison and Terminus and-", before you could finish Carl gently cupped your face with his hands and stared at you. His eyes beaming bright, they reminded you of a lazy summer day.

"I know our past has been gruesome, but this feels different. I know it's hard to trust but I really think we can live here. I know we can". "We live and survive for one another, and I promise you that we will beat this world", he said cooly, his confidence radiating.

"I love you Carl", you whispered before pulling him into a hug, which caused you both to fall over. You shut your eyes burying your face into his chest. "I love you to the moon and back Y/N", he had said before the two of you fell into a light slumber.
