So this is my first imagine and I realize it's pretty crappy and short but hopefully my writing ends up getting better. Anyways, enjoy!

(Your p.o.v)

You had been apart of Ricks group since the prison, but now it felt...different. The air you breathed in and out felt cold and your body lifeless. The group had been walking towards a place called Terminus, but currently you didn't really care if you could 'survive' there. Hell you couldn't care less if you had died right now. You couldn't feel anything anymore. Everything this world had thrown at you was finally taking its toll.

The last member of your family, your brother to be exact had died and even though you still had had Rick's group, you felt so alone. As you watched every death, with it came another brick to add. Your walls were completely up and they were not coming down. You were cold. Distant. Gone.

As you continued to reminisce on your thoughts you felt a hand touch your shoulder from behind you.

You had jumped slightly and sighed realizing it had only been Carl. Carl and you had became friends instantly and it had only become stronger since the beginning. But just like everything else in your life, even your relationship with Carl felt different. It was cold, no it was warm and loving but it was just different.

Lately he acted odd towards you, the two of you barley ever talked, and if you ever did you noticed he was quite shy. The rest of the time was spent with quick stares sent to you. You didn't know what to think of it, but the only thing you knew for certain was this world was winning against you.

"Hey", Carl spoke in a slightly rough voice, most likely because of the lack of food and water. "Hey", you replied quietly as you kept your eyes on the rusted tracks underneath you. Carl and you were at the back of the group, therefore you needed to keep up.

"What do you think of this Terminus place", he questioned you with a slight tilt of his head. His sheriff's hat covered his forehead, and his scent was earthy with dried blood. You then took this time to stare at him like he always did to you. He wore a worn blue flannel, with a dirty white tee shirt underneath followed by a pair of jeans. You wore similar clothing, although instead of flannel you decided a tank top was more appropriate in this heat.

"Y/N", he questioned again before smirking as he caught your staring. You had just blushed and looked down. "Yeah, yeah I agree", you spoke hurriedly not bothering to look up at him. "You don't remember what I said, do you", he questioned playfully before a few low chuckles left his mouth. You smiled and looked back at him as he did the same to you. The rest of the day was spent with Carl, laughing and talking like you used to but just as before it still felt odd.....much more intimate.

As night overcame the day and the sun went down, everyone had began to set up camp. You had found a large tree you sat underneath, farther away from the rest of the group, with your face covered by the shadows of the various leaves.

You began shivering lightly as the group began getting ready to sleep. Your eyes widen slightly before sighing loudly. You had lost your bedding in a fight with a walker, which the group found humour in but you hadn't.

A groan left your chapped pink lips before you brought your legs to your chest while starring up towards the stars in the sky. They had always managed to calm you even through the worst of times.

While you had been staring off Carl had managed to sneak up on you for the second time today. "Boo", he purred into your ear from beside you as the breath left your throat. "Jesus Carl, you need to stop doing that", you laughed silently attempting to not awake the rest of the group. "Well you looked like you could use some company, and some heat. I've never seen someone shake so much", he said while covering your small frame with his blanket as he scooted closer to you and wrapped his arm around you waist slowly.

Your eyes widen by this action as you went to speak but were cut off by Carl's plump lips on yours. You were shocked to say the least, but that cold distant feeling that filled you had left, even if it were just for a moment. After the kiss a long smiled played at your lips before you put your hands to the sides of his face for one more heavenly kiss.

Afterwards a silence overcame the both of you but it was nice. You rested your head on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around you slightly tighter than before. "Before you say it, I love you too", you whispered with a large smile as you both shut your eyes. "I knew it".
