I'm very glad I finished this in time, as this is a small Christmas imagine I wanted to upload today, as I thought today would be appropriate timing. Sorry if it isn't great, I was pressed for time while writing this. Also this is set in season 6, because season 7 and 8 have been too much 😂. Happy holidays to all, and thank you for reading my book 🙂

To be one hundred percent honest, you never thought you would see bright Christmas lights, decorated pine trees in homes and carollers on doorsteps ever again, but this hell hole of a world has managed to pleasantly surprise you, in which you were definitely grateful for.

You along with the rest of your remaining group had joined Alexandria not too long ago, and you would have forgotten the cold holiday if it wasn't for this place.

Alexandria had went all out, and you weren't quite sure if it was to make it seem more welcoming towards their new recruits or if this was just how passionate there were about the holidays.

Either way, it was definitely a favourable decision to decorate seeing as you used to enjoy Christmas quite a lot.

As your mind continued to marvel at the beautiful new home you had taken refuge but you had just realized that you would actually be able to celebrate it again too.

A bright smile grew on your face as light snowflakes fell amongst the town, creating a comforting sight. Your cheeks grew cold drawing out a red colour and deciding to stop just standing outside, opting for the indoors seemed smart.

You entered the empty house that you shared with Rick, Michonne, Judith and your boyfriend Carl.

You knew for a fact that Carl was looking forward to Christmas, you actually hadn't seen him this happy in a long time but at the same time you don't remember the last time he was this secretive which had confused you.

Whenever you would ask him about the long hours he had spent outside of Alexandria, he would just respond with 'You'll find out on Christmas'.

With a roll of your eyes remembering those occurrences the last few days you had decided to get Carl's gift ready, taking advantage of the fact no one else was in the house.

You tied you H/C hair up and put on a white apron that you had found in the massive house only yesterday.

'Gingerbread, I'm sure Carl would like that, besides it's the only Christmas baking that I remember how to make', you thought as your inner monologue with yourself had ended and you began your seemingly endless journey attempting to bake this.

Much to your surprise, after about two hours you had baked cookies that looked damn good, you hadn't burned down the house and you cleaned up rather well. "Good job Y/N", you mumbled with a smirk playing on your lips before patting yourself on the back.

Within the next few hours Rick and Michonne came back with Judith bouncing in their arms and to your surprise Carl had came back.

The rest of the evening was spent with a Christmas dinner, you separating your baking into different packages for different people and overall just taking a break from walkers and fighting and just enjoyed yourself.

As the end of the night rolled around, sleep had felt as if it were going to take you in which you said your good nights and headed upstairs.

You had flopped down on your bed which you and Carl practically shared, yet before sleep could take you, Carl had came into the room with a smug look on his face.

"We've barely spoken all day and now your falling asleep on me", Carl said with a smug look before sitting next to you on the bed.

A smile perked up on your lips as he automatically wrapped his arms around your waist and your head rested on his shoulder, his hair hiding your slight blush.

"I've missed you", you mumbled tiredly in which he pulled you closer. "I have too sweetheart", he spoke leaving a kiss to your temple.

A soft sigh left his lips before he sat up slightly. "You're just too damn cute", he said in a playfully irritated tone before pulling a small box from his pocket.

Your brows knit together lightly as you sat up and he held a small box in his hand wrapped with a red bow.

Confusion stayed on your face as Carl broke into a smile. "As much as I'd love to wait until tomorrow, I can't. Merry Christmas babe", he spoke sweetly making your cheeks turn crimson as your small hands took the box he offered you.

With a confused smile gracing your features, you slowly opened the box to reveal an odd leaf? No, that's not it...mistletoe.

After a couple seconds of realization a bright smile lit your features as Carl stood up offering you a hand up as well.

You stood smiling like an idiot as he took the mistletoe out of your hands. "That's where you've been lately, looking for this", you spoke as your eyes met his love filled ones.

"Yes, and I wouldn't do anything to change it", he spoke quietly as he held it above both of your heads.

You slowly lent in and once you made contact with his lips, you both melted into it. His free hand wrapped around you with your hands tangled in his hair, as you both kissed passionately, not wanting this moment to end.

Unfortunately for the both of you, Judith had made her way upstairs and stared at the both of you, with confusion written on her features.

Michonne and Rick had went to get her and saw the moment the both of you were sharing at which they both just smiled and watched.

"Save some of that Christmas joy for tomorrow", Rick piped up while laughing at which you two broke apart quickly at that, blushing and laughing.

Carl picked up Judith as you grabbed your freshly baked cookies which you had shared with what felt like your family, and you all enjoyed your early Christmas.
