Good bye

(Arrays pov)

I put the shot gun across my back, and my pistol in my pocket. 2D had his in his back pocket and Murdoc had his gripped in his hand. "I need to grab my back pack to put my shot gun in." They both nodded. We quietly approached 2Ds room, careful to not draw attention to ourselves. I had brought my camo back pack with me. I nearly ripped it out from the duffle bag it was stuffed in. I had stolen do many things using this bag. Like drinks, beers, lighters, and things like that. I stopped remeninsing when 2D signaled us to leave the room. I put the gun in there, a little bit of it was sticking out the side. I swung my backpack around my shoulders and guided 2D and Murdoc down stairs.

Noodle was sitting with russel on the couch watching tv. Noodles eyes met mine. "Hallo Array." Noodle greeted me with a hug. I patted her head. Russel glared at Murdoc. I went to speak but Murdoc elbowed me. "We're going out. For no longer than a day or two." Murdoc spoke with no emotion. Russel narrowed his eyes. "Where ya going?" Russel asked puffing his chest up a little. "No where that concerns yo-" Murdoc was cut off by 2D. "We- were going ta find Arrays brotha." I glared at him. Why would he bring that up. He could have just said we're going out of town or vacation. "Huh okay. I didn't know you had a brother." Russel shrugged. "When are you leaving?" Noodle asked looking up at me. Her eyes watered a bit. "In a hour." I answered.

She mouthed 'oh'. "I need to pack." I said and left abruptly. 2D quickly walked behind me. I wish he had just left me alone. Just let me breathe by myself for a moment. But never the less he followed me. I walked inside our room. "Array." He said and grabbed my shoulder. "What?" I turned to him. "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn' even had mentioned Richard. I just- I didn't think." He stared into my eyes. His voice was cracking more than usual. I stared into his eyes for what seemed forever. I hugged him tightly catching him off guard. "Its okay. I shouldn't be so sensitive to those topics." I said my voice muffled my 2Ds shirt. "Ya know Array u can always talk ta me. You can be sensitive about your family." He patted my head. I looked back up at him and smiled. I don't know what's wrong with me. I hate him for a solid 3 minutes and then I stare into those pitch black eyes of his and all my anger melts away. His rough voice that reeks of cigarettes is soothing? I can't explain it. It's like his scent reminds me of my childhood. Which I guess makes sense considering he practically started smoking when he was 13, same with me. I don't know if it's good or bad that the smell of wet ash trays, cigarettes, and cheap perfume is what my childhood smelled like. I left his arms to start packing. "We shouldn't be gone longer than a day or 2 right?" I asked putting some clothes in my backpack. "Yah only about 2." He reassured me. As I was going through my bag I found my literal only lingerie. It was black lace with flowers on it. I glanced back at 2D.

He was leaning against his wall with a cigarette in his hand, looking out at space. I whistled at him. I showed him the lingerie and winked. "A-Array!" He snickered at the end. "What?" I teased him. "The doors wide open." 2D motioned to the door. "Hmph. Later then." I winked and went back to packing. 2D snickered some more. "WHAAAT???" I turned back around to 2D sitting with my legs in a pretzel. "Nothin' you're jus' cute." He answered smiling sweetly. I grinned. "That's what you think." I put the last few of my clothes into my bag. I only packed 2 shirts and some jeans. I had to clear room for water and what not. "Finally you're done." 2D said sarcastically. We met Murdoc in the living room. Noodle had gone to her room and Russel was still on the couch. "Finally, what? Did you guys do it?" 2D and I blushed insanely hard. "No." 2D answered still red. "Well what did you expect me to think you took 45 mins to 'pack'." Murdoc shook his head. "Good bye Russel we will be back." I said to him. He just nodded. "Oh wait, I need to say by too noodle." I turned around but there she was. She was standing in front off the front door. "I'm comming." She stomped her foot. "Noodle, dear you have to stay." She narrowed her eyes"No I'm going" "Noodle please understand I'll be back soon." I had picked her up at this point. "But-but." I shooshed her. "No butts I don't want anything to happen to you." I let her down, she grabbed pant leg. "I'm going to miss you." She said as we neared the geep.

Here's an update :) thanks for all the support. I love reading all of your comments. They really make me happy. Also the part about Arrays childhood smelling like wet ash trays, cigarettes, and cheap perfume is pretty much what my childhood smelled like. :)
