2: On Stage

Red Velvet left the stage, also leaving the sound of hundreds of screaming fans behind them.

"Wow." Seulgi beamed, "I love performing so much!" she said, catching her breath.

They returned to their dressing room to freshen up before returning back on stage in 10 minutes to hear the results of who 'won' that week. Although they were already nominated first place, since it was only their first Rookie stage so far, they knew they wouldn't win yet. Especially if it was against BTS.

'I'm gonna see him' Yeri thought, the corners of her mouth perking up as powder was pressed on to her face.

"Red Velvet! It's time!" Yeri heard her manager say, before springing up and eagerly leading her members to the stage.

'Ok, Kim Yerim, you're going to talk to him today!' was her last thought before stepping on to stage.

BTS filed out of their dressing room, towards the stage for the ending.

Before stepping out, all the members formed a circle and reached their hands in to the middle; Leader Namjoon shouted 'Let's win this!' before they all shouted 'Fighting!' and thrust their arms up in to the air.

With the atmosphere in high spirits, they strode on to the stage.

BTS stood near the front of the stage, since they were first-place nominees. Not long after, Red Velvet appeared right next to them, only a small empty space seperating the two groups.

Jungkook quickly turned to Red Velvet, only finding that all members were looking straight forward, hand-in-hand.

'Oh, there's Yeri... she looks pretty today..' he thought for a second, before whipping his head back to the front.

Once all the artists were on stage, the results were finally called:

'And this week's winner is... BTS with Spring Day!' the MC's finally revealed.

A jolt of pride and happiness struck all the members as they thanked their fans, families, staffs and agency for their win.

Moments later, Spring Day played once again as their encore stage began. BTS bowed to all the artists, whilst Jungkook's eyes were searching for someone.

In the midst of scanning the room, Jungkook felt something ram in to his chest.

'Oh, I'm so sorry!' a young voice instantly called out.

He looked down to meet the eyes of a girl; Yeri.

'No, no! It's okay!' he replied, surprised but bowing.

Yeri awkwardly returned the bow, her cheeks a little flushed as she dashed off with her members off the stage.

'Oh, don't go...', he found himself thinking.

'Oh my god, I can't believe that just happened!' Yeri fell in to her palms. 'Did I seriously just bump in to him and run away? Ugh, what's with me' she cursed at herself, shaking her head.

'What is with you?' Joy chuckled beside her. 'What even happened? I didn't even see'

'Nothing..' Yeri replied, pulling her palms away from her face and slouching in the car that was taking them back to their dorms.

'I saw.' Seulgi announced. 'Her face hit someone's chest' she teased.

'What? Oh my god, who?!' Wendy butted in. They all turned to Yeri, who hid her pink face behind her sweaty palms.

'Jungkook.' Seulgi stated, leaning towards Yeri and tickling her.

'Aah, go away!!' Yeri yelled, in between giggles and snorts, swatting away Seulgi's hands.

'BTS?' Wendy asked. Seulgi slowly nodded with a smirk plastered across her face.

'Aaaaah' the members chimed, together.

'Jungkook... the maknae' Irene said, smirking. 'We always knew you liked him, Yeri'

'Wha- no, I never' Yeri said, crossing her arms. 'I just bumped in to him'

'Then why are you making such a big deal?' Joy teased. 'Jungkook and Yeri. I think they suit pretty well...' she smiled, waiting for Yeri's reaction.

'Quit it, I don't like him!' she turned to the window, attempting to block out her members' constant teasing.

'But why?' Seulgi asked. 'He's really talented, and he's not ugly. I think the whole BTS crew isn't that bad at all' she added.

'Yeah, come on Yeri, we tell eachother everything!' Joy whined. 'Fine, just tell me, maknae between maknae' she smiled.

'Um, no!' Irene intervened. 'I'm the leader, I command you tell us right now!' she joked.

'Ok, okay!!' Yeri finally burst. 'I don't like him, I'm just a little attracted to him, god, it's not that deep...' she spilled.

'Waaaaaah' all the girls squealed at once, flailing their arms about in the air.

Yeri felt herself burning up and hid her face once again. 'Hey, what about you!' she pointed at Seulgi. 'You and Jimin!'

'Ohhhh' everyone else cooed as Seulgi's jaw slightly dropped.

'Hey, we're just friends..' said Seulgi, giving an empty reply.

'Yeah, friends' Yeri emphasised. 'Friends that almost always get in to some sort of fake scandal after any time you're in the same room together because you can't keep your eyes off eachother...' she continued. 'The cameras catch everything you know...'

'They're not scandals... they're just any cheap moments those delusional fans can get.' her voice wavering ever so slightly.

'And you!' Yeri blurted out, moving her pointed index finger towards the eldest, Irene.

'Hey, put that finger down, maknae' she ordered, chuckling. 'What have I done?'

'Ever heard of Vrene?'

'Vrene? Huh?' Irene tilted her head in confusion.

'You and V. You're fully aware he's always staring at you, and you're always somehow smiling whenever he's doing so...' Yeri crossed her arms, her cheeks still heated.

'Woah, how's that my fault? Yes, I sometimes notice he's looking my way but why wouldn't I smile? What would you do, scowl?' she retorted. 'I don't see him in any other light besides being V from BTS' she concluded.

'Yah, Yeri, how do you know all this anyway' Wendy asked, her brows furrowing.

'How don't you know all this? I just occasionally scroll through our tags on Instagram... You can't blame me for knowing what I know - people pair us up with almost any male idol out there' the youngest explained.

'So what's yours and Jungkook's name?' Joy asked, grinning. 'There must be people pairing you both too' she nudged.

'Hmm?' Yeri felt herself flushing, 'Umm.. I don't know, go see yourself' she lied. She knew exactly the name fans called her and Jungkook together. The name rung in her head: Jungri...

'Ok, let's stop now!' Yeri said, as she placed her small head on Joy's shoulder, 'I'm tired.'
