25: Surprise Visit (2)

The two were crouched beside each other, exchanging looks of panic as they heard someone open the door. They immediately got up, unaware of who came in.

'Mm, why are the lights on?' a female voice spoke.

Jungkook and Yeri both furrowed their brows at each other, wondering who the unfamiliar voice belonged to. They heard her steps approaching and Jungkook instinctively pulled Yeri behind him.

The steps continued to become louder as whoever was approaching got closer. She finally found Jungkook; 'Wah!' the woman let out, surprised when she made eye contact with him.

'Sorry' he immediately bowed, accidentally exposing Yeri behind him. Yeri widened her eyes and moved beside Jungkook, bowing a straight 90-degrees, apologetically.

The woman, who didn't even realise Yeri before, parted her lips, notably surprised but, at the same time, not too shocked. 'No, no it's okay! This isn't the first time..' she awkwardly chuckled, suggesting many idol couples discovered this quiet room.

Jungkook and Yeri stood there, uncomfortably, not knowing what to do.

'W-well, we should probably go' Yeri stuttered, nudging Jungkook's elbow. Jungkook nodded, bowing once again and starting to head out. Yeri gave the woman a sweet smile and another 90-degree bow before following Jungkook out.

They came out the room, almost sweating.

'Oh no, oh no! What do we do!' Yeri immediately burst out, worrying that they had been found out so soon.

'It's okay, it's okay' he told her, 'She's staff, she even said she's seen others in there.. It's part of her job not to disclose anything she sees or hears' Jungkook reassured the panicked Yeri. 'Come on, we should go back down now'

Yeri nodded, 'Aw, that was fun' she told him, smiling wide. It was almost like their first date as an actual couple, although in reality they were at their 'workplace'.

Anyhow, they re-checked to see if the coast was clear and swiftly made their way back to Red Velvet's room.

When they entered, the other girls were still fast asleep, besides Seulgi, who was happily talking with Jimin.

Yeri led Jungkook to the chair they were sitting on before and the two sat themselves down. The stylists were still around and were still interested in the new couple, but refrained from staring after seeing how uncomfortable the youngsters felt.

Yeri took her heels off and turned herself round, crossing her legs, so she was facing Jungkook rather than sitting right beside him. Jungkook quickly grabbed the blanket that was thrown on the table near them and spread it out over Yeri's bare legs, before spinning round and separating his legs, so one was on each side of the long chair, so he was facing Yeri too.

'Ah, thanks' Yeri looked down, her heart fluttering a little. 'How've you been? It's been ages since we last saw eachother!'

'I know, this is literally the first time we've seen eachother since.. you know' he spoke in a hushed voice, still shy with all her stylists around. 'But I've been good, I've pretty much just been working on songs' he told her.

'Ooh really? Wow, I bet they're great!'

'I'll let you listen to some once they're a lot better' Jungkook promised, feeling proud of his growing composing skills.

'Really? Oh my god, I'd love that!' Yeri exclaimed, an excited grin spreading all across her face, making Jungkook smile too.

The two talked for a while - about Red Velvet, about BTS, about their own private lives, about a lot... and before they knew it, the hours flew past and it was already time for Red Velvet to return to the stage.
