17: Second Date

It was Saturday morning and Yeri woke up extra early to start getting ready for her second date. Her and Jungkook were finally a little more free now they were both completely finished with any schedules. And today was finally the day. Their second date.
Although, to be completely honest, it was their first proper 'date' where they both acknowledged it was an actual 'date' this time... which made Yeri even more nervous.

But today she had a goal: to hug Jungkook. She told herself, for now, she would see him as any other guy friend she was close to, but she just had to confirm that question that rung in her head every time she thought of Jungkook. 'Was it him?' She assumed that if she were to coolly leave him with a hug tonight, it would perhaps trigger some sort of memory from that first dinner.
Frankly, it didn't matter that much to her but she was annoyed at herself for forgetting part of their very first outing, and it was the persistence within her that wanted to remember everything when with Jungkook.

Anyway, it was incredibly hard finding a suitable 'date spot' where the two wouldn't get caught hanging out together; they both knew that would not end up well... but since the two were residing at their 'real dorms' now, Yeri remembered a cute coffee shop nearby. Red Velvet were regular customers there, so naturally grew close with the coffee workers there too.

She called up and requested they close for a couple of hours, which they gladly allowed, and just like that Yeri secured their second date spot.

She was busy dolling herself up with the help of her members, who were over the moon that their youngest baby was out on another date.

'Aren't you nervous?' Irene asked, styling Yeri's hair.

'Hmm... a little... but I'm just seeing him as a friend for now, in hopes to make things less awkward.'

'Yeah, you gotta start out as friends I guess' Wendy commented, painting Yeri's nails a pretty pastel lilac.

'Let's see how long that lasts' Joy interjected, causing Yeri to roll her eyes.

'Did you guys even talk a lot last time?' Joy wondered, knowing he was naturally introverted.

'I already told you guys everything about last time!' Yeri exclaimed, 'He was kinda quiet but by the end of it we were talking more' she remembered the pleasant memory that already happened a long month before. 'But today I'm going to make him talk a lot' she announced, sounding determined.

'Ooooh' the members chorused, surprised. 'Are you gonna kiss him?!' Joy asked, eagerly.

'Wh-what! Unnie! No!' Yeri gasped, slapping the girl beside her. Joy ran away, the rest of the members laughing hysterically.

'Do it.' Seulgi piped up, sounding dead-serious.

'Eh?' Yeri turned to her. 'No! Not on our first date...'

'It's your second date' Wendy corrected her.

'But the first one wasn't a proper date!' Yeri fought, huffing. She knew she couldn't win against these girls.

'Yeah yeah...' Irene mumbled, 'But hey!' she turned to the other members, 'Don't tell this baby to kiss! He needs to do it first.' She tutted, shaking her head.

'Ah, you're right!' Wendy smiled, poking the side of Yeri's arm.

'Ow ow ow!' Yeri yelled, launching a soft punch to Wendy's stomach. 'Ha, well, he's way too shy, he'd never make the first move...' Yeri told them.
