14: Show Time

Rehearsals were over and it was only a few hours until show time. Red Velvet had left to the salon, to get made up for MCountdown. It was still rather early in the morning, and so the five girls were fast asleep in their car.

...

A couple hours later, Red Velvet were back on their way to MCountdown, a little more awake and alert. Yeri fumbled around in her bag, searching for her phone; she grabbed it and turned it on for the first time that day.

'3 new messages'

'Ooh!' she smiled, somewhat happy she had new messages.

Saeron ❤💎: yeriii i miss you!! let's meet up when you're free, okay? xx

Yeri grinned at the text from her bestest friend. It was true, they hadn't seen each other in a while and Yeri missed her a lot too.

'saeron!! yessss, we need to meet >< i'll contact you when i'm next free, wait for it ;) x'

Yeri typed, still smiling like a madman. She had so much to say to Saeron, she couldn't wait to see her. Opening her next message, her eyebrows raised as she was a little surprised at who texted her.

Jaehyun Oppa 👹: Lookie lookie ~

Yeri laughed at the couple words in front of her. Her fingers flew across the keyboard, typing a response.

'ma supa lookie lookie lookie! haha, listen to it a lot! and ya, where have you been all this time? stop ignoring my texts!'

She sent, thinking about the last time she saw Jaehyun - it had been a long while ago  since the they were both often busy, but they'd try their best to catch up whenever they could. The two were very close, ever since her rookie days. In fact, she used to have the tiniest crush on him, but she pushed her feelings away when she thought of how it could jeopardise their friendship.

Most artists from SM would always say they both suited each other and should secretly date but they were more than comfortable being best friends and didn't want to break that.
So Yeri was really happy he finally contacted her after what felt like years (but in fact was only a mere couple of months).

She finally clicked on her last text -

Jungkook: I looked for you at your dressing room after rehearsals but you weren't there. I'll see you at the live show though! I just wanted to say something :)

Yeri read his message and tilted her head. 'He wants to say something?' she thought, wondering what it could be.

'We're here!' her manager called out, opening the doors. Yeri turned her phone off, unable to reply to his text and stepped outside.

BTS were in their dressing room, waiting around until they had to perform. Jungkook was glued to his phone, desperately wanting to see Yeri again.

He stared at his phone, waiting for a reply. 'Hyung!' he sighed, sitting beside Seokjin. 'Look, she read it! It says she read it but why hasn't she replied?' he whined, shoving his phone into Seokjin's face.

'Ya! I don't care!' Seokjin said, trying to watch the artists performing on screen.

'But hyungggg-'

'She's probably just busy! Why would she be glued on her phone like you? Aish, you're so annoying' He said, slapping Jungkook on his back to get him to go away.
