"I'm fine Alya. Just need... some time." I reply.
"you don't look fine." Another voice said. Adrien.
"Yeah Mari, are you sure?" Alya says, concern in her voice.
"Alya, I think I need to clear things with Adrien." I say.
"Ok, just call if you need me though." Alya gets up, turns around, and leaves.
"Need to talk?" Adrien questions.
Yeah I need to talk! All my feelings for you have been spilled to the whole classroom and my personal feelings were exposed! But I didn't say that. All I could get out was a weak "yeah."
"I'm so sorry about Chloe, Mari."
"I bet everyone feels sorry for me." A sudden attitude rose up in my voice. "Not like anyone cares about the boring Mari-"
"How could you say that!" Adrien snapped. His voice rose aggressively, but not to much to the point of intimidating. "a lot of people care about you! Alya cares about you, Nino cares about you, your parents care about you- heck, I care about you Marinette! So don't even think that for a second!"

I was silent. Adrien turned and stared walking when I called out
"Wait!"
He turned around.
"I-It helps to know that you care. Thank you, Adrien." I say looking down and blushing.
"It helps to know that you're ok and safe, Mari. Don't get akumatized." He replys with a blank face.
I look up. Those eyes. I had to promise.
"I promise."
And he walked away with that.
