A Little Chat

I walked around my room, not knowing what to do with myself. I had put my diary in its box, done my homework, and screamed into a pillow a few times- yes, I was still angry at Chloe. Yea, I've been mad at her before, but not angry. I remembered Adrien's words to me, don't get akumatized. This is really difficult. How could I not be angry at that girl! I'm not furious like I was earlier, but still, I'm ticked. Tikki tried many times to calm me down, but I could not. Not today. I was about to rip my pillow open when I heard a knock on the trap door to my porch. Chat. I threw my pillow on my bed and Tikki flew into my purse on the chair. Chat climbed in soon after.
"Hey princess, are you ok?" He said softly.
"Um, yeah, I'm fine!" I avoid eye contact with him, hoping he wouldn't notice my straining voice.
"Mari. Are you ok." Chat said that with a flat tone. Shoot. He noticed. No point in lying.
"No,"  my voice trails off, my eyes still concentrated on my flats.
"Was it Chloe?"  He asks, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"What?" I say, and look up, although I know what he's talking about.
"Chloe. She made you mad." Dang, Chat is good. "I heard she read your diary."
Word spread that fast? Holy Salsa, nothing good's gonna come out of this. I try to sound like I didn't care, but that was really difficult.
"Yeah, so-"
"Your friend, Adrien, you like him don't you?"
"No- I- um- yeah, I like him a lot." My body tenses as he pulls me in a hug. He rests his head on my shoulder, near my ear, and whispers,
"If only you knew, princess."
