Chapter 2 : Good

So why do they bully her?

Well you see, Emily was once Miss Popular. But she still had the same personality as i described previously.

So she didn't have haters.

But you see, Emily had a best friend. Riley Parker.

They were the best of friends. Little did Emily know, Riley was just using her.

People warned her but she refused to believe it.

"She's my best friend. Riley would never do something like that." She would tell them.

That's the thing though. Emily refused to believe anything bad about someone.

She knew there was more good than bad. She would turn a deaf ear to rumours or gossip.

Whenever someone would tell her something bad about another person, she would say;

"Don't believe the bad. Look at the good. Look past the bad. Everybody makes mistakes, everybody does and says things they regret. Unless you're perfect. But you're not. So stop looking at the bad. But that's the thing with this world now-adays. Everybody focuses on the bad things you did and said. Nobody focuses on the good."

So you see, she saw it coming but yet she didn't.

So what did Riley do?

Well, Riley spread rumours that Emily was crazy. Different.

Okay, I'm being nice.

Crazy and different wasn't the words she used. In fact, she said Emily was psyco.

Of course, everybody believed Riley.

They forgot the good Emily did. The times she stood up for others.

What did Emily say?
"Everybody forgets the good you did once they hear something bad about you and believes the bad."

And that's exactly what happened to her.

Day by day at school, when she walked down the corridors she would hear people say softly, but loud enough for her to hear;

"Psyco."
"Looser."
"She belongs in a mental institute."

Where did the good she did go?

It vanished.
