After a long day at school, Emily was walking home with no exact destination. She decided to get lost for a bit.

'Just run away. Then we'll see who will actually care. Nobody will care, i know it.' was Emily's constant thought.

So she decided to get lost. She walked, letting her feet be her guide.

She came to a road which she never came across. Until now.

She walked down the road. Not many houses. It looked deserted.

The further she walked down the road, the more spooky it looked.

She finally came to the end of the road when she saw a fairly big house.

As i told you, Emily has always been the curious one. An adventurous spirit.

She stepped onto the land of the house.

She came to the gate that stood tall, black paint chipped off on some parts, the chain that was on the gate was rusted and so was the lock.

The chain was loose so it served no purpose.

Once she pushed the gate open it made an ear screeching noise.

The garden looked nothing as how a garden should look.

There were weeds overlapping the other, the grass was tall, brown patches of dead grass.

There was a bush of roses believe it or not. Thorns covering the stem of the rose.

Now, a normal person would turn around and run home, but not Emily.

She walked up the grey, cold cement steps with a huge and tall wood door staring at her.

She knocked on the door.

Knock, knock!

No answer.

She knocked again.

Knock, knock!

No answer again.

Emily didn't turn around. Oh no she didn't.

She pushed the door open and entered.

Once she opened the door and stepped inside the room, she realised that it was total darkness.

Pitch black.

The only form of light was the candles in the lounge illuminating a very little part of the lounge.

She took out her phone wanting to use her torch, but the battery was low.

"It will probably die anytime soon." Emily thought to herself.

She made her way towards the lounge but then she heard the door close.

She spun around as fast as lightning, fearing of what could possibly have caused the door to close.

Nobody was there.

Nothing was there.

She shook it off.
"Probably the wind." she thought.

She carried on walking towards the lounge and picked up a candle and made her way around the lounge; starting her little adventure.
