Chapter 28 : no turning back

"Emily, put her down."

"I said make me." she said turning her head towards the teachers who arrived at the scene.

her eyes completely not her normal colour and her not being herself.

"wh- what are you ?" Mr. avery asked Emily. "you're not the Emily i know. not the Emily we know."

"I am Emily." she said smiling.

"no you're not." Mr. Johnson said.

"I'm the long lost Emily. the Emily people forced me to turn into. of course you're not gonna realise a person who completely snaps. no shit you're not."

"Emily -" said a voice that came from next to her. she turned to face the voice. it was mia and ethan.

"what ?" she asked. not a normal, inquiring what. it was a what people spat out when they're irritated.

"put her down." mia said gently.

"no. i don't want to. she can die for all I care."

"you're saying this now, but when you're back to normal you're going to regret whatever you plan on doing to her."

"when I'm back to normal ?" Emily scoffed. "this is who I am. I'm not going back. i don't need to turn back." she said looking at them. "there is no turning back." she said looking at them dead in the eyes.

"what do you mean ?" ethan asked.

"nothing. don't worry." she said smirking then turning to face Riley.

"so, did you decide which one out of the options i gave you you would like to happen to you ?" she asked Riley.

"yes. i did. and my answer is neither." Riley said.

"well unfortunately for you, that's not an option. so pick one or i will pick one for you." Emily said to her, tightening her grip on her shirt, still holding her up in the air by one hand.

"Emily Smith, i demand you to put her down. we can sort this out. just put her down." Mr. Johnson said.

"and like I said, either you make me or back the fuck up and leave me alone."

"watch your language missy."

"make me." she said.

by now they have all realised that Emily was not going to put Riley down and she really wasn't the Emily people liked being around.

she was long gone, deep into the pit of darkness and there was not light to save her. no light to pull her out and it appears that it may stay like that.

Mr. Avery and Mr. Johnson went over to her and pulled her back gently.

"do not fucking touch me." Emily said turning to face them and pushing them away from her. "touch me again and i'll break both of your hands. both of you."

in that time, Riley kicked Emily and she fell from Emily's grip. Emily didn't fall back or anything she continued to stand. even more angry if that could be possible.

Emily went after riley but Mr. Avery held her back which wasn't very smart on his side, since she flipped him over onto the railing.

let's just hope he's not dead.

then Mr. Johnson tried to stop her but next thing you know, he collided with the brick wall.

let's hope his back isn't broken. it probably will be though.

then Mia and Ethan stood in front of her and she stopped.

she cocked her head to the side and a blue flash was visible in her now, green eyes. "move." she said in a stern voice.

"no, i get you're pissed as fuck Emily. but it's not worth it. she won't bully another soul ever again. especially you." ethan said.

Emily stopped and looked at ethan for a while. it seemed as if she was contemplating it.

ethan and mia looked at each other and nodded.

"it really isn't worth it Emily. she's bruised already. she has blood on her already. don't go any further. I'm pissed at her too, but let things be. I'm asking you nicely." mia said.

emily looked at mia now and once again, it seemed like she was absorbing her words.

Riley was standing behind mia and Ethan watching this whole scene.

blood coming from her lip and blood on her leg. fortunately for her she was wearing a shorts so it wouldn't be painful to get any material from a jeans off of her leg.

"I really am sorry. I'm sorry for what i did to everyone. i truly am. i guess i just wasn't happy, and i tried to make everyone feel miserable so i could feel better about myself. but i realised it wasn't right. i swear, i will never do such a thing again." Riley said tears visible in her eyes.

Emily looked at Riley, blue flashing through her eyes once again.

"now you want to realise it. when you're almost dead ? when people are seriously injured ? when i reached my limit ? when I'm fucked ? when i can't go back to who i was ? don't you think it's too late ?"

"it's never too late." ethan said.

"you made your point. now leave her." mia said. "but since we're all about revenge - " she continued then turned around to face Riley and punched her in the face. "that's for being a bitch to me. now - " she said facing Emily. "we're done ? right ?" she questioned.

Riley rubbed her jaw where mia just punched her.

"well, let's see." Emily said making like she was thinking. "sure ! " she exclaimed.

"seriously ?" Riley said her eyes lighting up.

"bitch you thought." she replied and she lunged for Riley.
