A Trip to Borneo

Chapter 4 - What's that!!

"How long do I need to keep this thing on?" Isla said pointing to the cloth tied to her leg.
"As long as it takes to get home" I replied.
"That's a long time then?" Cora sighed and stood up "I'm gonna go wash off in the sea, anyone coming?"
"Yeah sure" I answered
"I'll come as well, can someone help me get to the sea?" Isla asked.
Me and Cora stood next to Isla and helped her to the shore. We sat her down and she scooped some water in her hands and rubbed her face. We did the same and then sat down together on the shore with our feet in the water.
"Do you guys see that?" Cora asked suddenly.
"See what?" I replied.
"Those black things in the water" Cora said.
"They're not black things, they're bodies!!" Isla gasped.
"Quick come on they might still be alive!" I yelled.
Cora and I ran into the water and swam towards the bodies. There were four bodies and we pulled them to the shore one by one. It was Emily, Warren, Alfie and the pilot. Emily and Warren regained consciousness within 10 minutes and it took about 30 minutes for Alfie to regain consciousness.
Time skip: 1 hour
The pilot still hadn't woken up, we checked his pulse again. It was slowing down.
Time skip: 30 minutes
The pilot was dead.
"His name was Captain Ross" Isla said looking at his ID badge
"We should give him a funeral something" Cora said
"Yeah your right lets dig him a grave" Alfie said
"What are we going to dig it with?" I asked slightly confused "we can't dig it with our hands"
"We can use whatever we can find" Emily explained picking up a piece of wood.
"Ok lets do it" I agreed
We finished digging the hole and carried his body to the grave. We buried him and laid a piece of wood on the grave with his name carved on in. We stood silently around the grave. We stuck a flower into the grave and left him in peace.
