A Trip to Borneo

Chapter 6

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" Isla screamed in agony. "I thought you said this wouldn't hurt!!"
"I lied sorry, if I didn't tell you this wouldn't hurt you wouldn't have let us stitch your knee and it could get infected" I said
"Okay just please finish it, it hurts like hell!!!" She closed her eyes, holding in her urge to scream as I pierced her skin with the thread.
"Done" I said while cutting the end of the thread. Isla lay on the sand in agony and still had her eyes closed. She sat up and said "You are never doing that to me again"
"Okay" I said and smiled. I looked up to see the sky plunging into darkness. A drop land on my nose then rain poured down on us.
"We need to find somewhere to shelter" I screamed over the defending sound of rain drops.
"Agreed lets go into the jungle" Elliot replied.
We carried Isla into the jungle and sat her on a park leaf. We scanned the area and spotted a cave in the distance.
"Quick over there!" Alfie yelled.
We carried Isla closed to where Alfie pointers to see a cave.
"Finally some shelter" we sighed in relief. We ran out one by one and collected as many leaves, palm branches, coconuts and other resources we could and made temporary beds and a kitchen (by this I meant food on top of a large rock or in our case a big log we had found on the floor) We decided to call it a night and went to sleep.
The next day we carry on to make our new home and look for clean water because it is running low quickly.
We are in the cave.
"Hey Emily do you wanna come look for water with me?" I asked
"Yeah sure" she replied
We walked for a bit down a path and then I asked "I didn't really want to look for water emily I want to show you something"
"Oh ok..."
"Now just be quiet for a minute and listen" I said
We were silent then she said "that can't be right it's completely silent no birds, no animals at all maybe occasional wind but nothing"
"I know I came here yesterday and I heard nothing it's weird and I haven't seen any animals"
"What the hell!! This isn't right at all Maddi, this is freaking me out, can we go back to the cave please?"
"Yeah come on lets go" I replied
We ran back to the cave and asked if anyone had noticed but no one had.
"We're telling the truth!" I explained.
Everyone rushed outaude and listened but after a second the jungle was filled with noise and animals.
"Yeah we beleive you" Isla said sarcasticly "If you're trying to scare me it's not working" She joked.
