Author's note: This update is a little bit shorter than the other. Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon. But since school started again I'm pretty limited to the weekends and Tuesdays since we have the day off on Tuesday. So in between life and school, I'll do my best to update asap again. This update is probably not my favorite, but I wanted to give you at least a little bit so you don't have to wait any longer :)

6pm

Demi spend the last almost two hours with her son, talking to him, watching him, memorizing every single feature of his tiny, fragile body. She couldn't believe that she probably had to say goodbye to this little baby boy in a few days. Nobody knew when or how and Demi didn't really wanna know. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to be with him. It might sound heartless and selfish, but the thought of seeing her own child die was almost enough to make her throw up.

She grew up in a big family. It was something she wanted for herself. Kids, a loving husband, a big house and dogs...she almost had it all with Nick. And now that she sat here, her pinky still caressing her son's small hand, she wondered what her life would be like right now if Nick would've never cheated. Would they've had a baby together already? Would they still live in the same house? Where would've their careers taken them? All these questions messed her up even more. The singer was exhausted from crying so much and she was in pain. Not just emotionally, but physically as well. After all, she still had surgery earlier.

Demi called the nurse and asked her to take her back to her room. The young woman smiled and nodded. "Okay...bye baby. Mommy's gonna come back as soon as possible, I promise. I love you so much, sweetheart." she said to her son and watched him for a few more seconds, seeing his little chest rising every time he took a breath. Knowing that he wasn't able to breath on his own hurt.

As the nurse wheeled Demi back to her room in her wheelchair and on the way, Demi's mind wandered to all kinds of different places, mostly bad one. She started blaming herself. She started telling herself that the reason her son was premature was the fact that she didn't give herself time to rest. What if the emotional stress about André and Nick was to blame for all of this? What if that was her body's way of telling her to stop playing around like that?

Back in her room, she saw Marissa and the blonde turned around as soon as she heard the door being opened. "Demi..." she said quietly and Demi's chin immediately began to quiver again. The nurse left them alone and Marissa immediately went to wrap her arms around her best friend- Demi cried against Marissa's chest for a while before the blonde pulled back and helped Demi into her bed.

The two of them didn't talk much. Marissa simply held her hand and let her cry for a while. After a few minutes, Demi managed to calm down and look at her best friend. "H-How long have you been here?"

"H-How long have you been here?"

"I stayed the whole time. Eddie took Madison and Dallas home, Dianna is still in the lobby with Joe and Nick."

"You called him, didn't you?"
