~Your POV~
It was about time to get to the Benefactor Meeting but I was having such a great time talking to all these people. Its nice being able to see there faces instead of them just watching mine on a screen. There was this adorable little girl that came up to me and gave me a lollipop. She was so shy, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I gave her a great big hug and thanked her and she ran off to her mom. But I had to keep moving, so I thanked everyone and told them all I would see them at the next signing, and off I headed to the Room where we were to meet everyone. The room was beautiful and full of people holding glasses of different drinks. There was a long table of fancy snacks, I didn't get to look around much more before a waiter stopped to hand me a glass, I told him I was fine with what ever they had. What ever it was that he poured in my glass had a light sweet fruit flavor, it was bubbly but very smooth. I thanked him and started walking through the room talking to everyone that wanted to say hello. I got a lot of Thank you for being here with us, we appreciate you donating your time and flying all the way here, we have raised so much, and the main was my son/daughter adore you, they love watching your videos... It was nice. These people were all so formal though, so I definitely was watching my language here. I met this lovely couple and a few of their friends and we talked about all kind of things. From the difference we are making today, to what we do on a regular basis. But it wasn't like a who does better competition, we listened, took turns talking, learned new things, it was one of the best "adult" conversations I have ever been apart of. It was nice discussing things but being able to have a laugh here and there. Man I Feel So Sophisticated Right Now, I chuckled at the thought. From there everyone had to talk to others, and move along with the conversations, so I turned around to see who else I could find to chat with. Shock washed over my face, My glass falling from my hand, What were they doing here.
"Y/N." My father said sternly.
I didn't say anything, I just stood staring at them. A waiter rushed over with a new glass for me quickly taking care of the one that I dropped. I glanced around to see if any of the guys were around but i didn't see them. Did they not come?
"Johnathan. Mary." I said sternly back.
"You know we may have not talked to you but we are still your parents. I suggest you address us as such." John stated bluntly. I didn't care. I didn't want to hear it.
"My parents? I don't have parents. I remember quite well I was told I was no longer part of your family when I quit Law school."
"None the less, you would not be standing here today if it were not for your mother or I."
"I may not be standing on the Planet if it weren't for the two of you. But I am standing right here in this room because of me. I have made it where I am in my life, Because of me. Because of my friends. Because of my fans. You can tell everyone all you want that me standing here today has something to do with you, but that's you that has to go home and lose sleep over all your lies. Not me."
"You will not talk to your mother or I that way. I Will Not Stand For It Young Lady." He started raising his voice, making everyone around us start staring at what was unraveling.
"You Are Not My Father, And She Is Not My Mother. You Are Just Two People That Just Happened To Accidentally Have A Child That They Regretted And Never Wanted. You Two May Have Put Me On This Planet. But You Can Hardly Call Yourselves "Parents". I Don't Even Know What Your Doing Here, I Am Here For Business. I Am Here To Do My Part In Raising Money For Charity. So If You Don't Mind, I Have More Important Matters To Attend To. Now I Wish You Guys A Good Day. Good Bye." I wasn't going to let them see me cry. I didn't want them to know they were getting to me. I wanted to be the better person, But I bet I failed at that one. I decided to go out and get some air before the last signing for the day. I found a door and out I went. I found my way outside and I was in an alley. Good enough I thought. I sat against the walls with my knees up and my head in my hands. Why did they have to Be here? Why did they have to ruin this. I was having so much fun, regardless of the fact that the guys were all hiding something from me. Shit.. This must have been it. That's why Felix looked worried about the Benefactor meeting. That's why he told me to stay near one of them. That Ass. He knew and he didn't tell me. I could have prepared myself to see them, but no. He just had to keep it all a secret. What ever. I just want to get this signing done and go home. Home home, Not Mark's home. I want to be home in my bed cuddled up in my shorts and a hoodie, with Netflix on tv.
