Nothing was wrong or different about her.

Physically.

But mentally?

The fact that she was traumatized by her beloved uncle's death, tormented by her foster evil aunt, perhaps it was why she's like this. The people who never understood and who never knew the whole story hastily generalized negative thoughts that pushed them to say harsh words or throw papers at her or push her in the pond with all of her belongings.

She rarely speaks, she's almost a mute. Her (e/c) eyes are shadowed by her (h/c) bangs, the majority of the strands tied into a messy (h/s). (L/n) (Y/n) is nothing but a misfit, a mistake, someone who shouldn't even exist, they say.

A group of friends have embraced her since junior high school. And now, even in their final senior years, they still stick together. (Y/n) loved being with them, where she would always smile and laugh to her heart's content. But even with their acceptance, it didn't stop the whispers and the bashers, instead it fueled them to take a step forward.

Despite being a complete idiot, Monkey D. Luffy, the group's leader, (Y/n)'s boy bestfriend and secret crush was the most famous hearthrob of the whole school. Why wouldn't she be hated for having the most loved boy in the school and his friends as her closest friends?

"Oi (Y/n), your food's gonna go cold. Eat up already," Luffy said, catching the girl's attention. She slightly nodded, pulling her gaze away from the opposite table to her lunch made by Sanji.

"(Y/n)-chwaaaaan~! I specially made that for you! I hope you like it," Sanji said, and (Y/n) replied a 'Thank You' sign. She doesn't want to speak, even with them, so she uses sign language like a real mute.

"Still, I hate it when people look at her like that," Usopp said, pointing at the other students who quickly averted their gaze away. Luffy growled and quickly stood up in his chair, startling them all.

"Listen up you guys! (Y/n) is a good friend and she's not weird so stop looking at her like she's someone else!!" Luffy bellowed out, and (Y/n) tugged at his uniform, releasing whining sounds, pleading him to sit back down.

"Stop it, Luffy! Don't make a scene," Nami scolded the boy, and (Y/n) began to handsign a 'sorry'.

"(Y/n), don't mind them. They're just jealous of you, that's all," Nami said to her, and she just curled up a smile.

"SUPER~ jealous, (Y/n)-neechan," Franky added, forming his signature pose.

"Don't pay attention to them (Y/n)-san," Brook added.

"That's right, (Y/n)! You're our friend, and if someone wants to hurt you, just call and leave it to us! Shishishishish~!" Luffy said and laughed heartily. (Y/n)'s eyes formed tears that fell slowly as she handsigned a 'Thank You'.

At the opposite table, three girls glared at her, hissing like snakes. Sonia, Mari, and Hancock, the three Gorgon sisters and the most well-known bitches in the school. Hancock, the eldest, is also known as the most beautiful girl in the campus, and she also fell in love with the campus idiot.

"Ugh. I can't understand why Luffy chose to befriend that useless, acting girl instead of me! I mean, she's not even pretty!" Hancock scoffed.

But actually she was. In fact, she was the second most beautiful girl in the campus. If it weren't for her bashfulness and weirdness, she'd be the campus queen bee.
