The Twins Of Shadows And Darkness

Chapter 2

"Shad! Wake up!" Dark spoke quietly and gently shook Shadow.
"Why?" Shadow asked, sitting up and blinked a couple of times to adjust her eyesight.
"I'm pretty sure I heard something outside the tent" Dark answered.
"We do have everything in the tent right?" Shadow asked, suddenly becoming a little panicked.
"Yes Shadow, calm down. Its probably just a wild animal, ok?" Dark reassured her.
"Ok Dark. Thanks." Shadow said calming down and taking a deep breath.
"I'm gonna investigate anyways ok? Just to be sure." Shadow said, earning a hesitant nod from Dark. Shadow pulled out her pocket knife and flipped it open, while Dark grabbed her knife that she was keeping under her pillow and joined Shadow by the opening of the tent. Shadow cautiously and quietly as possible, unzipped the tent and crawled outside of the tent, Dark not far behind. Both sisters stood up and went towards the sound of footsteps that were by the tent. When they got close to the footsteps, it went silent. Shadow and Dark were left looking around cautiously, but never thought to look up. After a couple seconds, something fell from a tree above  them and pinned both girls to the ground. The 'somethings' turned out to be people. The people that ambushed the sisters now held sharp objects to both their throats.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" The person now identified as a guy pinning Shadow down asked.
"Why do you wanna know? And I could ask the same question" Shadow rudely said to the male. The person pinning Dark down kept twitching every so often and kept almost cutting Dark. Shadow noticed this and became worried for Dark.
"Look can ya just leave my sister alone and let her go?" Shadow said, earning a chuckle from the man threatening her.
"Just answer our questions and we'll think about it" he answered.
"If anything happens to my sister I'll slit your flipping throat I swear on my life!" Shadow threatened, earning another chuckle from him, which ticked Shadow off even more that he didn't take her seriously and she growled.
"My name is Shadow and my sister's name is Dark. And why we're here is none of your business." Shadow growled, and every so often glanced at her sister.
"It actually is our business, so tell us and we might consider letting you go" the guy said making Shadow growl again.
"Why must you know? Are you making a book about two girls who your threatening?" Shadow sarcastically replied, getting annoyed by this dude and laying on the ground was getting uncomfortable and not helping her mood at all.
"Just tell us!" He growled getting impatient with the girl he was talking to. Shadow sighed and looked at Dark for help. Dark looked at Shadow noticed slight fear in her eyes.
"We ran away from hell" Dark answered, still looking at Shadow. The man grunted and stood up yanking Shadow up, and kept the knife to her neck.
"Toby you can get up" the guy told 'Toby' and Toby got up and helped Dark up while keeping the weapon now identified as an axe on her neck. When Shadow saw the small glimpse of tiny cuts on Dark's neck, she went absolutely berserk on the guy holding her captive. She yelled very colorful words at them, thrashed and kicked at the guy, head butted him, and even tried to bite him. Another guy that the girls  never noticed until now, went over to help calm Shadow down. Unfortunately for them, it didn't work so they were about to knock her out.
"Wait, let me calm her down" Dark said, they let her go and Dark went over to Shadow.
"Shadow, calm down it's ok" Dark said and hugged her.
"No it isn't ok!! Those bastards hurt you!" Shadow growled and hugged back.
"Calm down Shad. Its just a little cut. It'll heal, I promise" Dark reassured her. Shadow growled and glared at Toby with the axe that hurt her sister. He twitched and stared back at her.
"Just calm down Shad. Ok?" Dark asked, Shadow took a deep breath and nodded.
"I'm good sis. I'm good. But, if they leave another mark on you, they'll die. Got it?!" Shadow growled the last part and glared at Toby.
"Ok your calm now right? No flipping your shit again?" The dude asked and Dark nodded.
"Ok well we're taking you to our boss now to see what to do with both of you." He concluded.
"Hey, can we at least bring our stuff?" Dark asked.
"S-sure, I g-guess" Toby answered.

After the girls grabbed their stuff, they followed the trio, which the sisters learned their names were Toby, Masky, and the quiet one was Hoodie. Toby had a brown sweater with blue stripes on the arms. He wore orange goggles and a metal mouthguard. Shadow and Dark learned he had Tourettes Syndrome which explained his twitching.
Masky was the guy who pinned Shadow to the ground and asked the questions. He wore a tan jacket and a white feminine mask with black facial features. And Hoodie was the guy who tried to help Masky with Shadow. He had a yellow sweater with the hood on at all times. He also wore black fabrics with a red frowning face on it to cover his entire face. Surprisingly, the trio allowed the sisters to keep their weapons, and both were very suspicious on what was going on.
"Ok so explain to me again what is happening at the moment?" Shadow asked for hundredth time and Masky was getting....well how should I put it? Oh yeah, pissed. Masky was getting very pissed. Masky growled in annoyance.
"For the hundredth time, we are going to see my boss to see what we are gonna do with you! Did ya hear me that time?!" Masky yelled.
"Yeah, I also heard you the other 100 times. I just wanted to get you pissed off for payback." Shadow said with a smirk on her face. Masky stopped walking and turned around, and he gave off a very dark aura.
"You mean to say that I've been repeating what I said FOR NO REASON AT ALL?!?!?!?" Masky screamed at her.
"Yup" Shadow answered, popping the 'p'. Masky yelled out in pure annoyance and turned around and walked away yelling very colorful words at the world, while Shadow was trying to keep from laughing her ass off.
