Chapter 7

(Narrator P.O.V.)

It was midnight when Shadow came back. She was bloody and still a little angry walking up to her room, first stopping to check on Dark to see her asleep on BEN while he was still playing on his phone quietly. She quickly and quietly closed the door as BEN returned to his game, and she quietly laid down and listened to music as she was staring at the ceiling. The thoughts never left her, even as she calmed down. Instead of leaving her at peace, they tortured her with more thoughts. 'You're a failure, you didn't protect your sister.' 'You don't deserve happiness.' It took Shadow all the strength she could muster to keep from shouting at the voices to shut up and waking up the entire mansion. Instead, she curled up into a ball and cried until daylight came.

When daylight came, Shadow was a mess. Tear stained cheeks from crying, dried blood stains from her victims, and a broken expression on her face. She finally got up, grabbed fresh clothes and took a shower. When she put on her usual outfit which consisted of a red T-shirt and a pair of jeans, she walked downstairs to breakfast Slenderman was standing in the walkway.
"Where did you go last night?" His voice boomed at her.
"I was blowing off steam" she replied.
"And how did you do that?"
"Killed people." Was her answer, and she walked off towards a corner, not hungry anymore. She just sat there, bugged by the voices while thinking.
"Whatcha doing?" Someone asked, which turned out to be Sally.
"Thinking."
"About what?"
"Problems older people have."
"Aren't you gonna eat breakfast?" Sally asked.
"I would if I was hungry Sally."
"Are you gonna be hungry at all today?" Sally asked again.
"I'll eat soon Sally. I promise." Shadow promised.
"Okay." And with that, Sally walked off. Shadow wished she could get rid of the voices. They were really starting to mess with her. If they didn't leave, she was gonna snap.

"Hey Shadow."
"Huh? Oh hey BEN. How is Dark?"
"She's asleep now. Can you tell me what exactly happened to her? You and her were fine yesterday, but today your spaced out, and she's really depressed. What happened?"
"I would tell you if I didn't feel like I'm gonna snap at someone. Maybe I'll tell you later. Okay?"
BEN sighed.
"Okay." And he walked away.

(BEN's P.O.V.)

I walked over to the couch and started to play a random video game. I was wondering what happened to make both of those girls act differently from yesterday. 'What is up with them? They're hiding something, I know it.' I thought sighing. I saw Shadow sigh and start walking upstairs, probably to check on Dark.

(Dark's P.O.V.)

'You can't hide for long.' The voice said with a dark and unsettling laugh. 'You and your sister will regret leaving, just wait.'

I sat up, sweating and breathing heavily. 'He found out.' I knew he would eventually, but I thought it would happen at least a little later, but not now. Now it was only a matter of time before he figured out where we are, and come after us. As I was deep in thought, I just barely noticed a knock at the door and the door opened, revealing Shadow.
"So your awake. BEN said you were asleep last time he checked. How long have you been awake?" She asked me.
"I really dont know. I've just been thinking." I replied honestly.
"What are you thinking about?"
"He realized we left."
"Fuck." She muttered a bunch of curses under her breath.
"What are we gonna do?"
"Well, your gonna rest up and recover and do nothing. I'll take care of things when the time comes. I know we're in this together, but your the only family I have and I refuse to let anything happen to you. Okay?"
I sighed.
"Fine."
"Good. I love you Dark. I hope you know that." She smiled and hugged me, making me hug her back and sigh.
"Trust me, I know you love me. I'm irresistible." I smirked, making her laugh.
"Hey, you need breakfast. So get chur lazy butt up and get moving." She said, dragging me downstairs to the kitchen. Sally walked over to us.
"Shadow did you eat yet?" She asked.
"Umm no Sally. Not yet. But I will, don't worry about me."
"Okay" Sally sighed and walked away. I turned to Shadow.
"You didn't eat yet?" I asked her with a serious face.
"No, but I'll be fine don't worry" she brushed it off and started making eggs.
"Shad" I said in a warning tone, making her sigh and turn towards me while still making the eggs.
"I care about you more Dark. You come first in my life, okay?" She said to me, grabbing the fully cooked eggs and putting them on a plate with a fork before sliding them over to me. I stared at them before putting a forkful into my mouth.
"Shadow?" I asked.
"Hm?" She answered, urging me to continue.
"Where is Onii~Chan???" I asked. She looked at me, then sighed and sat by me.
"Dark....to be honest....I don't know....I wish I did though...but don't worry, we will find him...I promise." She said, hugging me. I hugged back, wondering where Onii could be.

(Shadow's P.O.V.)

I hugged Dark. I know she missed Onii, I miss him too, and I need to find him because with him around Dark would be happier. I'll have to do it soon though. I need her as happy as possible...

"So how about we start being happy now?" I asked her, then started tickling her.
"Nuuuu!! Please- ahahahaha stop!!! Hahahaha nuuu!!" She yelled, laughing. I smiled, she'll be even happier when Onii is here.

(A/N: So next chapter I will try to make less depressing)
