The Twins Of Shadows And Darkness

Chapter 18

Narrator's Pov

It was a quiet morning. Quieter than usual. In fact, this morning wasn't normal. It wasn't normal because....Shadow woke up at 5 in the morning.

Shadow sat up in bed, eyes squinted and hair sticking up in random places. She wiped her mouth just in case she drooled in her sleep again. (Before you say anything...it happens okay? And I may or may not drool in my sleep sometimes...) Shadow got out of bed and checked the time on her phone. '...There's no fucking way in hell that it's 5:01 in the flipping morning...I must be hallucinating again.' Shadow thought, mouth agape, still staring at the small screen of the device. Shadow shrugged and just started walking forward towards where she thought the bathroom was, and ended up walking straight into a wall right next to the bathroom door. She fell onto the floor with a very loud thud that probably echoed through the entire house.
"Fucking hell" Shadow muttered, rubbing her aching face as her door busted open to reveal Dark, Blue, and Jeff with what they thought were weapons. Dark had her stuffed turtle, Blue had a stuffed wolf, and Jeff was holding a sleeping Smile Dog that was snoring. Shadow stared at them with a 'what the hell is wrong with you people' look.
"...I never knew you could wake up at 5 in the morning. So I thought someone was trying to kill you in your sleep." Dark said, yawning and rubbing her eyes.
"..well if I was gonna be killed in my sleep, I still would've died. You can't kill someone with stuffed animals or a snoring Smile-...actually I take it back. I'm dying already just hearing that dog's snoring. Great choice Jeff. And this is exactly why I don't normally wake up at 5 in the morning. I have no sense of direction which leads me to walk into walls." Shadow replied, gesturing at the wall and yawning. Everyone crowded at the doorway wondering why there was so much noise going on at 5 in the morning. Shadow stared at the people then stood up and walked in the same direction she was going, once again walking into the wall again.
"Oww. Completely forgot what happened last time." Shadow said stepping to the right and walking into the bathroom. Everyone but Sally and Smile Dog facepalmed.

Shadow got out of the bathroom drying her hair and now completely awake. She got too lazy to change out of her pajamas  so she just shrugged and turned into her wolf form. She trotted downstairs and went into the living room to see everyone, even Slender, sitting and doing random things. Shadow tried to turn into her human form, but couldn't. Shadow panicked and tried again. Still nothing. Slender turned to look at her.
"What's the matter child?" He questioned out loud, making everyone turn and look at her.
Shadow tried to respond but all that came out was barks and howls.
"Speak english please." Masky remarked, annoyed. Shadow glared at him.
' I can't turn into my human form.' Shadow calmly responded to Slender in her head. Slender nodded in understanding.
"Yes, I believe Dark and Blue are going through that right now." Just as Slender finished his sentence, a black cat and a wolf collided with Shadow making her go flying, luckily Jeff caught her before she broke the tv. Shadow looked at Jeff and licked him, making him blush.
"Your welcome Shadow." Dark was laying on Blue, both laying there before standing and looking at Slender. Slender explained that Shadow was having the same problem, and also said that he was going to find a way to fix the problem then teleported somewhere. All three's stomach rumbled, making everyone look at them. Jeff chuckled and stood up, making Shadow jump down from his lap and look at him.
"Might as well feed these three and Smile." Smile's stomach rumbled right as Jeff mentioned feeding him. The four looked at each other and ran to the kitchen.

Jeff fed Blue and Dark cheesecake, but Shadow was being stubborn and made Jeff cook both Smile and her steak. The two stood there drooling and looking up at the pan and hearing the two steaks sizzle. When the steaks were finally cooked, Smile and Shadow were right at his heels looking up at him. He finally set the two plates down letting Smile eat while Shadow jumped up and licked his face before eating her steak.

Dark was lazily laying on Blue's back as he walked in the woods for a walk. Shadow and Smile were running around and smelling things. At one point they were playing tag and also competed to find out who would win at play fighting. Dark stared at the two running around with a yawn and a bored look, while Blue was staring with amusement.
"How do you think this happened?" Dark meowed at Blue.
"I really don't know Dark. But I hope we can change back soon. I'm used to freedom of changing back." Blue answered with a bark.
"I agree with you. I hope Slender will be able to find a way to fix it soon." Dark sighed.

Shadow was laying on the floor next to Smile waiting for Jeff to get back from his killing. Once Jeff opened the door, he was pounced on by two large canines. He hadn't even gotten one foot in the door before he was on the ground being licked to death. He started laughing and tried covering his face but with no luck. After a couple minutes, the two calmed down and allowed him to walk through the door, while being right at his heels. Soon Shadow laid by Blue and Dark falling asleep. Slender suddenly appeared right in front of Shadow making her jump back and yelp while glaring at him.
"My apologies child, but I found a way to help you three be able to change back to your human forms." He held out a bottle of weird pink liquid with no label. Dark and Shadow backed away hissing and growling at the bottle.
' Sorry but I'm allergic to pink. I'd rather be a wolf the rest of my life.' Shadow growled and shook her head.
' There's no way you're gonna make me drink that.' Dark hissed, staring at the bottle.
' They'll drink it Slender.' Blue interjected. Slender sighed and gave Jeff the bottle.
"You're going to need a few more people to make Dark and Shadow drink it. They won't touch it because it's pink. Give each of them a spoonful." Jeff nodded and Slender teleported somewhere else. Jeff went to go find a few more people to help him. Dark and Shadow saw this as a chance to escape, and Blue could only grab one of them, so he grabbed Dark as she was closest to him. Shadow ran like her life depended on it and managed to get on top of the refrigerator.
Jeff came back with BEN and LJ, only to find that Shadow disappeared. Jeff sighed.
"Okay. BEN give Dark and Blue a spoonful and LJ and I will go find Shadow." BEN nodded and was struggling to give Dark the liquid while LJ and Jeff searched everywhere. Everywhere but the top of the refrigerator. Jeff let out a frustrated groan.
"SHADOW!!!" Jeff yelled at the top of lungs. He heard a small noise from the kitchen. He looked around until he saw a small movement of black. He smirked.
"Hmm...since Shadow won't come out, I'm going to eat some steak without her." He would have said something about cheesecake, but he hated cheesecake and she knew it. He hated when she purposely would kiss him right after she just ate cheesecake, which happened a lot. He walked toward the refrigerator and opened the freezer to reveal things like ice cream, pizza, and steak. He grabbed the steak  and looked up to see a black nose sniffing. He smirked and started cooking the steak occasionally glancing at the black ball of fur. Shadow couldn't take it anymore, the smell was too convincing. She finally jumped down and ran to Jeff, sitting by his feet. Jeff chuckled and turned the stove off.
"You can have the steak later. But if you don't drink that liquid you can't have it." Shadow whined as Jeff picked her up and carried her into the living room where Dark and Blue stood in their human forms.
"Found her LJ!" Jeff called, making LJ walk out of a closet.
"Why were you in there?" Jeff questioned him.
"...reasons."
"Oookay then. BEN where's the stuff?" BEN held up the pink liquid.
"Thanks. Now Shadow, you have to drink it or no steak." Shadow stopped struggling and sighed, drinking the liquid. A red puff of smoke came out of nowhere and Jeff no longer felt a wolf in his arms, instead he held Shadow in her human form. Shadow blinked then ran into the kitchen, grabbed her soda and chugged it.
"That...was disgusting. I'm never drinking that ever again. I'd rather eat dirt." Shadow said, then chugged her soda until there was none left in the bottle.
"Can I have the steak now???"

(A/N- sorry I haven't been updating for a while. I finally had an idea pop up randomly in my head so I just went along with it. I decided I'm not gonna give up on this book. I started it, so I have to continue it. I love you guys. Adios!)
