ADELAIDE'S POV

That night...

As I was laying in my bed, I had realized what an amazing time I had with Jane today, it really reminded me of all the good times we had.

*flashback*

The summer of ninth grade.

That summer was the best, we hung out so much. One time, we set up a tent in my backyard, and my dad pretended to be a bear. Or the time when we were home alone, and we are ice cream for breakfast. Which we felt sick after that, and my mom told us to make some toaster waffles next time. That whole summer lead up to the one talk that would change everything.

"You like Myles?!" I asked.

Jane blushed, as she then shifted her position on my bed.

"Yeah..."

"Cute."

"So you don't care?"

"About?"

"That you dated him..."

"No! Of course not."

"So, if you don't mind me asking, why did you two break up?"

"Oh, uh..." I started.

Because we had too much sex, and we still do. We're just friends with benefits, if you don't mind Jane.

"We broke up, because we just realized we weren't right for each other." I finished.

"Oh, okay."

*end of flashback*

With that memory in my mind, I felt my eyes get heavy.

The next morning...

I got up, and went to the breakfast table downstairs. As I got there, Oscar was already making breakfast. I sat on the island counter, near the kitchen.

"Good morning Ms. Rians." Oscar said.

"Morning Oscar." I replied,

"How'd you sleep?"

"Good, you?"

He looked shocked,

"What is it?" I asked.

"I guess no one really asks me that, people are a lot about themselves these days."

I laughed a bit,

"Yeah, but really I mean it, how did you sleep last night?"

"Just fine Ms. Rians."

"You can call me Adelaide."

"Maybe one day Ms. Rians."

I laughed again, then Jane walked down the stairs, and into the kitchen. She was on her phone,
