When the the person on the cash counter said Rs 50,000 was like why on earth someone spend so much on a dress and then I understood why my dad put a limit to vanya's card.
I was thinking all this when Vanya said " di ur credit card" I looked at her and then realised that the man was asking for my credit card to pay for the dress . I looked at Vidhushi once since she understood what was going in my mind she started to laugh a bit because she knew that I hated spending money on useless things specifically dresses . I looked at cashier gave him my card and after the payment was done we all left the shop and went to my house . On the way to the house the only thought in my mind was that dad would be very angry with me because he refused to give money to Vanya and yet I paid for that stupid dress of hers and that is like going against him .
When we reached home I got out of the car and Vanya and kaustuki already went inside talking about dresses and all and then vidhushi came to my side and said " get ready to face bade Papa" scaring me she also went inside with a smirk on her face. I followed after her and as soon as I entered I saw not only my parents but vidhushi's, randhir's and parth's parents along with Randhir , Parth , Jignesh and my brother all were present there. And then I realised that today dad and Anirudh uncle were gonna tell everyone that they will announce Randhir and vanya's engagement in the party . Since they all were our close family friend's dad thought they should know this before the party. And then I looked at my dad glaring at the packet in vanya's hand . And then he spoke " what is that Vanya ?" he asked so angrily that now everyone's attention was on him and Vanya and then my mom also came from kitchen as she heard my dad's voice. Mom looked at me questionly because she knew my dad never gets angry on small things and if he is angry it must be something big . Dad once again asked " what is it Vanya ?". Then Vanya said so casually as if she wasn't even a bit afraid of dad's anger " it's my dress for the party dad" . And then she started to go to her room when dad spoke " stop right there Vanya" so angrily that she froze in her tracks. Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand and as lot of people were present my mom said to my dad " Arjun its just a dress and even if there something else in this matter we can talk about it later "
But my dad ignored her and went to Vanya and asked her in a very calm tone because of so many people being around and because Vanya future in laws were also there " how did u pay for this dress because as far as I remember you called me asking for money to which I strictly said no so how did u pay for this dress." As soon as he finished Vanya looked our father with so much anger and I understood that if I don't step in now then this matter will extend instead of getting solved so before she could say anything I said " I paid for the dress baba".
