^I don't even remember where I stole this. ^

Coran got out of bed and did his daily stretches. He was feeling refreshed and jubilant after a much needed good night's rest. Today, they would finally leave this planet, and hopefully any remaining drama, behind.

He had been extremely worried about Lance, but Pidge had insisted that he sleep. That they would watch the boy.

The old Altean made his rounds, checking on the castle's systems. Everything seemed to be in order. However, the only children in their rooms were Allura and Hunk. Sighing, Coran went around the castle to find the others.

He found Keith, asleep, on the stairs in the foyer. Coran nudged him with his foot to wake him up. "What are you doing out here?" he asked when the Angry Red One™ startled awake.

Keith looked around the room. "I was waiting...for Lance. I guess I fell asleep and he passed me, or something." He rubbed his eyes and stood up. "What time is it?"

Coran pursed his lips. He was still mad at Keith for the whole Quiznaks incident. "It's the fifth varga of the morning... How did you know that Lance was gone?" He may not have totally kept his mouth shut, like the boy had wanted, but he did at least try to keep it from Keith.

The boy ran his fingers through his hair to ruffle it out. "Pidge told me that he was out, doing something in town, when they came back," Keith yawned.

Coran nodded slowly. Of course the tiny one snitched. But wait. "Pidge came back without Lance?!"

"Yeah," Keith confirmed.

The mustached man spun around in a circle before heading up the stairs. Keith followed behind. Urgency, and a slight panic, overtook Coran. He threw open doors, marched down hallways, and kept checking his ticker. So much for a relaxing last day. His anxiousness was starting to spread to Keith.

"What's the matter?" Keith asked as Coran made another worried noise and threw open the door to the lounge. Pidge was asleep on the couch in the arms of some old guy.

"Pidge!" Coran yelled. The tiny paladin fell off the couch and woke up. The man, who Keith recognized to be Samuel Holt of the Kerberos mission, also woke up. "Where is Lance?!"

Pidge got up from the ground and sat next to their father, who was eyeing Coran wearily. "Oh, quiznak," they said, still half asleep.

"What did you do?!"

Pidge motioned at their dad. "I got distracted?"

Keith was very confused. When did Sam Holt get here? How did he miss him walking through the door? Was this a dream? Where was Lance?

"You were supposed to be watching him!" Coran shouted, running his hands through his hair. "I thought that he would be safe with you!"

Pidge finally took note of Coran's demeanor. "What happened to him this time?" Keith caught a glance directed at him.

Coran made a broken sound.

Pidge sat up and adjusted their glasses. "Did he not come back last night?"

"I can't find him anywhere in the castle!"
