Chapter 1 | Online School

- Abigail's POV -

A couple of weeks ago I moved to California, from the UK, with my parents.

It's so hot here and the scenery, in this part of Cali, is just amazingly gorgeous.

I couldn't have asked my parents to move to a better place.

Today is my first day of school... at home... on my computer. Yeah, my parents are against the whole idea of public schools. They think everyone gets bullied and that's what they were worried about if they put me into a public school. Bullying. However, I disagree with this arrangement. How am I meant to make friends? I can't make online friends, can I? And I know I have friends from the UK, but they're now thousands of miles away.

I sigh while opening my laptop to start my first day of learning. Fun! *I think it's obvious but please note the sarcasm;)*

I hear a tap on my bedroom door, which soon opens to reveal my Mum.

"Hi honey, I'm now going to work so I'll see you when I get home. Love you." She says then blows a kiss.

"Love you too." I reply.

She then soon leaves and I get on with my first lesson.

Let's just get this over and done with.
