Chapter 24 | Finale | Happy Endings

- Abigail's POV -

Everything's going great! We're all back in Cali and having an amazing time at the beach!

Rydel and I are just chilling in our chairs which are almost the same. I have one with blue polka dots and she has one with pink polka dots.

All the boys are playing volleyball. Rydel and I keep laughing at them because we think volleyball is a girls sport and it's just weird seeing a group of boys play it.

Ratliff comes over and says, "Hey! Why don't you two come play?! it will be: Me, Rydel, Ryland and Rocky on one team, then: Riker, Abby, Ross and Mark on the other team."

Rydel and I look at each other, "ITS ON!" We both shout in unison. We laugh and run over to the net.

Our teams winning at th- Oh no wait. Scratch that. The other team has just scored. Damn it!

"This is the decider!" Rocky shouts.

I have been left with the ball to serve. I throw the ball up and hit the ball with my fist. It flies over the net and Rydel hits it back. This rally between her and I goes on for about 30 seconds until Ryland hits the ball and Ross misses it.

The opposition win. Ahh man!

"We win! You lose! We win! You Lo-" The other team chants until Ross cuts them off, "Okay! We get it!"

Soon after we head back home. The Lynches are hosting a dinner party! Ahh can't wait! The Lynches cooking is amazing! We're having a barbecue.

Once I step into the house, Riker takes my hand and runs me to his room. He looks a bit nervous. I wonder why?

"Um... Abby, I need to tell you something," I nod in response, "I don't think this relationship is working out... So," He gets down on one knee -oh my gosh! Is he going to- "Will you marry me?" Yes he is!

A tear rolls down my cheek.

"I kinda need an answer now... You're being kinda silent, I don't know whether that's a go-" I cut him mid-sentence by kissing him passionately. I break away, "Yes! I will marry you!"

This is possibly the best day of my life!

I hug Riker, "I love you!" He says.

"I love you too!" I reply.

Happy Endings do happen.
