After skating, the two boys decided to head back to Michael's house and play video games together. They drove together in silence; a dorky grin still on Michael's face from how adorable Jeremy's little blurt-out had been, and Jeremy's face still a hue of red from his accidental confession.

Jeremy had played off the whole thing, he thought. But Michael's mind was buzzing, hope flaring in his chest that Jer's outburst had actually meant something. He glanced at Jeremy, who was staring out the window. Perhaps, he could devise a plan...

He spent the rest of the ride thinking about how he was going to play this all out.

The two soon arrived at Michael's house and stepped inside.

"Go wait downstairs," he said casually. "I'll go grab some snacks."

Jeremy nodded and trotted down the stairs to the basement. The bottom stairs and the floor were messy from clothes that Michael had tossed around, and a few miscellanious things that probably fell out of his pockets at some point. Michael watched, taking quick note of the mess.

Maybe I will be able to pull this off, He thought, feeling his cheeks grow hot. He went to his kitchen and got a few bottles of Mountain Dew Red, as well as a few bags of chips and popcorn.

He took a deep breath and began to walk downstairs. Jeremy stood against the wall near the staircase, texting on his phone as he waited for Michael.

His heart was pounding as he reached the last steps. Nearing the bottom, he fake-tripped and let go of the chip bags.

Jeremy, noticing Michael was falliing, quickly stepped in front of the staircase and caught him, his blue eyes filling with concern.

"Are- Are you okay?" He asked, frantically scanning Michael, who still stood in his arms. "What happened?"

Michael looked up, his brown eyes meeting Jeremy's. Trying to hide his nervousness from his voice, he smirked and said, "I guess I'm falling for you too, Jer-Bear."

Jeremy's eyes widened and his face began to burn a bright red, nearly drowning out the freckles scattering his face. His hands shot up to cover his blushing face, dropping Michael to the ground with a soft thud.

"Ouch," Michael groaned, pushing himself off the ground and adjusting his glasses. "I would've been fine with you just wanting to be friends, but you didn't have to drop me." He playfully stuck out his tounge.

"Wha..?" Jeremy hesitantly uncovered his face, and began to panic as he processed what Michael had said. "N-No! No no no! I-I didn't m-mean to, I..!"

Michael cut him off with a laugh, still sitting on the floor. "Jer', I was kidding!"

Jeremy blushed, averting his gaze. "I didn't mean to re-reject you," he murmured.

Michael tilted his head. Jeremy said nothing, just held out his hand. He helped Michael up, fidgetting once he was on his feet. Then, he turned back and met Michael's gaze.

Then, his lips crashed into Michael's, the kiss softening into something gentle and sweet. Michael's face heated up from being caught so off-guard, then gave into the kiss. Their noses squished together awkwardly, but Michael's mouth twitched into a large, love-struck and dopey smile as they kissed.

It only lasted a minute or so before Jeremy stumbled back, studdering so hard he could barely get a word out. He squeaked out, "I'm s-sorry!" before burrying his face into his hands.

Michael, still with a huge smile, walked over to him and gently pulled away his hands. "I... I guess you did mean it when you said you had fallen for me," he chuckled.

Jeremy nodded, trying hard to avoid eye contact. He was clearly flustered and embarrassed. Michael gently pressed his nose to Jeremy's, murmuring, "I did too."

Jeremy broke away from Michael's nuzzle, and pressed another quick kiss to his lips. "You're a dork."

"You're a geek," he shot back, pushing him playfully.

"And you're a mess," Jeremy giggled, gesturing to the chip bags sprawled on the floor from Michael's fall. Some had broken open and spilled, leaving potato chips and doritos across the basement floor as well. "Lets get this cleaned up, now."

They picked up the snacks and set them on the coffee table, in front of their beanbag chairs. After cleaning up, they tiredly flopped over into their chairs and let out a soft sigh.

Michael glanced over at Jeremy and sat up. He scooted over and wrapped his arm over Jeremy, nuzzling his nose into his neck.

"I love you, you know," he murmured.

"I-I! I lo-love you t-t-too!" Jeremy studdered out, his voice cracking as he melted into Michael's embrace.
