Jeremy's eyesight was terrible. Ever since he got rid of his SQUIP, his vision was exceptionally blurry. Especially his peripheral vision. The SQUIP gave considerable damage to his optic nerves, especially after having them blocked for months. Nonetheless, Jeremy had had glasses since his Junior year of high school.
His glasses had never really caused him issues. In fact, Michael adored them; he always joked about how it strengthened their "brotherly bond," whenever Jeremy would get insecure. But now, the two of them dormed together in college.
And let's just say that their "bond," had not prepared them for the mishaps that took place around their dorm.

Michael awoke to a distinct thud in the room. He heard Jeremy groan, and was instantly filled with concern. Groggily, he managed to sit up and peer over the side of the top bunk. He couldn't see very well without his glasses, but he could see a pale figure on the floor. He rubbed his eyes for a moment, and the next thing he knew, Jeremy was rummaging through the mess atop their nightstand.
"Jeremy..?" Michael croaked, his voice still heavy and sleep-ridden.
Jeremy turned his head up to look up. He was squinting harshly, which raised plenty of questions for Michael. But Jeremy looked incredibly relieved to see his friend awake.
"Michael!" He exclaimed. "Please, call a doctor!"
Jeremy's franticness and apparent panic was enough to make Michael panic, as well. He knew that Jeremy had had plenty of health complications after the SQUIP, from migraines to PTSD, and that alone made him concerned. Michael jumped out of bed and rushed down from his bunk. He managed to pull Jeremy away from the nightstand, horrified that he may hurt himself. He put his hands on Jeremy's shoulders in an effort to calm him down, looking the still-blurry Jeremy in the eye.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
Jeremy's response was as shaky as his body. "M-my vision," he stuttered. "It's gotten worse. Everything is so blurry and swirled. I-I think I'm going blind, Michael!"
Michael moved his hands from Jeremy's shoulders, holding his friend's shaky hands in a comforting grasp. He squeezed Jeremy's hand in an effort to calm him down. "It'll be okay," Michael said, trying to look assured. "I'll call your doctor. I just need my glasses."
Jeremy nodded as Michael turned to face the nightstand, still trembling.
Michael was hardly able to see the tabletop himself, but he managed to make out a black blurr that resembled his glasses. But when he picked them up, something felt wrong; the frames he was holding felt much too light and thin to be his own. He turned back around and squinted at Jeremy. Sure enough, Jeremy was wearing glasses.
Michael's glasses.
He managed to choke out a laugh before stepping back towards Jeremy. He pulled off Jeremy's glasses and slid on the proper frames. Putting on his own glasses, Michael watched his friend blink. He grinned as his friend's face morphed into an expression of realization.
"... Oh," was all Jeremy could manage to say, which only made Michael laugh again.
"You really are blind," Michael teased.
"Sh-shut up!"
