Lisa and I decided to take a walk in the garden. Enjoying the scenery here is the only way to convince Lisa to exercise her legs.

Our feet were touching the soil that was dampened by the rain earlier this morning, feeling the breeze as it touches our skin and messes our hair. I was holding Lisa's back and shoulders for support.

Lisa's balance started to get unsteady. I brought her to the bench in the garden. Lisa let out a sigh and muttered something. I didn't catch what she said since it was barely audible.

"What was that baby?" I asked. "My legs just keep on getting weaker as time passes. I'm just... preparing myself... Preparing myself from hearing the news that one day, I won't be able to dance nor walk again." Lisa faked a smile.

"Don't say that baby. Don't lose hope. I know that one day, we will dance again together. We'll be swaying our hips, and bobbing our heads to the tune that was being played. We'd be randomly moving our legs, and dancing awkwardly." Tears started flowing down my cheeks, staining my face. "I won't lose hope in you, Lisa. I hope you do too." I pecked her lips.

Lisa was losing hope. She shouldn't. We will fight this together. I looked over to the girl whom I was thinking of. Her eyes are looking ahead of us as we walked. "Lisa... Stay strong alright? You still have to walk down the aisle, wearing the most beautiful dress. I still have to take your hand and say our vows. You still have to walk up the stage when our children will be called to get their recognition. We still have to walk the path to our happiness." I caressed Lisa's face. Lisa just stared at my eyes and smiled. "Thank you for not giving up on me." a smile tugged the corner of her lips.

I went to the doctor's office after I brought Lisa back to her room. We talked about a serious matter.

Which was... about me...

Lisa wasn't the only one suffering. I'm actually suffering for about a year now. I just kept on being strong. I try my best to fight back.

I haven't told Lisa that I was experiencing something worse than her condition. I tried not to show even a hint of it. I don't want Lisa to worry about it. You'll find out what it is sooner or later, Lisa.
