My eyelids slowly open, revealing a man sitting across from me.
"Ace." I sigh, peering at him through my heavy lashes.
I swing my head back and forth, realization dawning on me as my eyes come in contact with several seats and windows. I'm on a plane.

I eye myself-down, clearing not remembering taking a shower or getting dressed.
Looking up at Ace, I frown, causing him to shrug.
"Would you have preferred walking around covered in mud and grass?"

"No..." Actually yes, I would have.

I comfortably sit in the chair, my gaze focused on the minibar.
Of course, this was a private jet.
For once in my life, I was anxious. I wanted to visit Italy, I wanted to do something intriguing, I wanted to know more about Ace's childhood.
Standing up, I prance over to the drinks, grabbing an orange juice and gulping it down in less than four seconds.

"Someone's thirsty." I spin around, my eyes locking with Hem's.
"You're here?" I confusingly mutter, "You're in this whole mafia story?"
"Well, not exactly, you can just say I'm here to help. An extra pair of hands won't hurt."
I pull him into a hug, sighing a sigh of relief.
I wanted to tell him about Mirada, but then again, we're in Italy, and she's somewhere far away.

"We'll be there in 15 minutes, you slept long, Hazel." He smiles at me, just like he used to.
Walking over to my seat, I throw the empty juice box in a garbage can.
The pilot announces some turbulence, indicating us to stay seated. As the airplane's wheels collide with the ground, Hem unbuckles himself, trying not to fall over.
The vehicle taxi's itself to some garage, Hem getting out first, followed by Ace and then me.

"Got everything?" Hem rapidly opens a bag, immediately sighing as he finds a pistol. "Yep, we're good."

All three of us enter a gray van who will supposedly bring us to Adrian's place.
Ace goes over some of the rules I have to follow, including acting tough, being serious and even looking scary.

"You sure about this?" I ask, not so sure of myself.
"You'll do just fine, don't worry."
I sigh, deciding to look out the window, clearly not happy that I have to hang out with criminals.

After what seems to be an eternity, the car comes to a stop, revealing a huge, beautifully decorated, modern house.
"Common," Ace gently tugs on my shirt, snapping me out of my trance.

I follow behind them as Hem vanishes behind the other side of the house, avoiding the entryway.
What is up with him and his sudden moves?

As Ace and I walk up the porch stairs, panic settles in my trembling body.
My heart starts beating a million times faster than usual.
Ace approached the handle, slowly turning it. Adrenaline shot through me as the wooden door creaked open, revealing tall, husky men standing on the other side.

A felt an oversized pit in my stomach, and I quickly covered it up by folding my arms over my chest, trying to act tough.

This is going to be fun...
