ONLY 3 CHAPTERS LEFT!! *.*

"Ace..." I whispered, catching his attention.

"What?" He practically choked on air, causing me to smile.
"You okay?"
"Yes," he grinned, "I'm fine, and let's get you out of here."

Hem sighed, "Not wanting to interrupt, but, you guys aren't alone, and it's kind of a life or death situation."
"Adrian, he was with them all along." I looked at Ace, anger flashing through my eyes.
"I'm going for him." He suddenly said.

Without warning us, he ran off in a direction, obviously going for Adrian.
"Ace! We have to go!" I yelled, running after him.
"Get your ašś back here, Haze!" Hem hollered, clearly not happy with my pathetic decision.

I blocked his calls for me out, completely ignoring the fact there were more dangerous armed men in the mansion.

Running around a corner, I heard screams and the sound of a gun going off, following by complete silence.

"Ace!" I ran over to him, slightly tugging on his shirt. "We have-"
I stopped, seeing Adrian's dead body on the floor.
"He deserved it."

Nodding, he grabbed my arm and headed back the other way.
As we ran, Ace had to shoot a few more men, until we came to a hallway.
There was Hem, lying on the ground, completely motionless, the life sucked right out of him.

My bottom lip quivered, "Hem..."
Leaning down to grab his stiff hand, a similar object rubbed against the back of my head.
We both froze.

"Move, and you're both dead." Ziho's voice was husky and cold.

Slowly, I stood back up, turning around to face him. He wasn't alone, there were two men standing behind him, also pointing their weapons at us.

"Well, I guess moving won't change anything, since you're both gonna receive a bullet in your heads in about ten seconds."

"What's the point in this?" Ace questioned. "You've always hated me, but I never knew you would go this far."
"I'd do a lot of things, things that wouldn't even cross your mind."
"This? You're right, killing myself along with my men wouldn't cross my mind."

Ziho laughed, a hint of confusion in his voice. "Ah, only that that plan didn't work."
"You sure? Did you really think we came alone?"
"Shoot them, starting with her." Ziho started walking away, turning on his heels.

"On my command, you're dead men."
Ziho paused, raising a brow.
"You heard me. Shoot me, and the place blows, walk away, and you all live."
"I'm supposing you would also die in the explosion?"

I interrupted, smiling, "That's what we signed up for; our lives don't matter to them."
Ziho turned to me, "you really think I'm going to walk out of here without your dead bodies stuffed into bins?"
Ace glared at him, "Well if you don't, your body will also be in one."

Ziho slowly made his way out of the hallway, telling the two others to make sure we didn't move.

"Did he just leave you two to die?" I asked, smiling like an evil snake. "He's probably running for his life right now, oh well."

The men rolled their eyes, slowly stepping backward. Once they were practically out of the doorway, they fired their guns at us.
I dropped to the floor, avoiding the bullet. Ace did the same, the bullet slightly cutting his ear.

Ace ran over to a window, waving his hands around.

That was the signal, the signal for the countdown.
