I wake up, feeling a wetness under my feet. My eyes are met with complete darkness, not letting me know where I am, or what's under me.
"Someone's up." I hear a familiar voice threaten me. "My sweet Hazel, or should I say Zara?"
"Neither will do." I snap.I wonder how long I've been out for, I hope not too long.
"Don't worry about your friend, we also found him a comfortable chair."
I question the darkness, "Friend?"
"Ace, isn't that what you call him?"Even though I couldn't see a thing, a swear I heard footsteps approach me.
"No, and he knows nothing about me coming here."
"You don't need to lie, we already have him. His friend led you guys right to us."
"Friend?" I question again."You'll figure things out soon enough, Hazel."
I hear the sound of a switch, and with that, a single light bulb hanging over me flickers on. The first thing I notice is the grey, damp concrete walls surrounding me, and the water beneath my bare feet.
My hands are tied to the chair's arms, and my feet to the legs.
Snarling, I toughen up, deciding to ask the not-so-anonymous voice another question.
"Which friend?"A faint chuckle echoes through the room as a black figure makes its way into my vision.
"Adrian?!" I gasp, my throat tightening up.
"You should've stayed back."I practically started hyperventilating as Ziho took a seat in front of me, commanding Adrian to point a gun at me.
"You where always so useful to us," Ziho began, "thank-you. I mean after all, without you, we wouldn't have caught Ace, or Hem."
"Monster!" I spat at Adrian, "He trusted you, we all did!"
"We?" Adrian rose an eyebrow as Joakim also entered the chilled room.
"What the hell?!" I glanced over at him, trying to keep calm.It was all just a game, a game to get Ace.
"Traders!" I cried in bewilderment as Ziho ripped the gun out of Adrian's hands and held it at my forehead.
"They didn't want you to get involved, but I honestly couldn't take more pleasure than in destroying that little face of yours." He hesitated before speaking again, "Quey, where is he?"
"What?!" Still shocked, I tried my best not to get myself killed.
"Where is he?" He yelled, his voice booming off the concrete walls.
"Why?" I spat, even though I never appreciated Ace's 2nd cousin.
"You've got three seconds."
"I don't know!"
"Two."
"No clue!"
"One?"
"The last time I saw him was at the ball!" I lied, trying to act gullible.
"Find him," Ziho ordered Joakim, the Russian man instantly leaving the room.I hid my smile as they all scattered out of the room, most probably throwing a search party for Quey.
Ziho stood in front of me until I got too tired to care.
"Just shoot me alright," I laughed, "got nothing else to lose."
"Well, what's the fun in that?" He questioned, almost disappointed. "Your dead body would look much better missing a few limbs."I choked in fright, was he really going to go through all that work? He could just end my life, right here, right now, and yet, he wanted to prorogue it, I mean of course he did...
