Hazel POV:
4 days later...Pouff, two more. Pouff, one more. Pouff, finally.
Sarah shut the lid to the bronze powder and put her brush away. She pulled out a pair of fake eyelashes and somehow glued them to my eyelids.Stepping back, she shouted, "All done, and Jesus Christ, you are gorgeous."
Swinging her hands to her hips, she marched over to a mirror, inviting me to check at my reflection. What I saw wasn't explainable... I didn't see a brown haired girl who's been living with a bunch of psychos. Neither did I see a women who doesn't remember her past, or someone who was sold, bought, tortured and then willingly forced into using guns.
No, I saw a beautiful young woman, completely free and independent. My long brown hair was pulled back into a beautiful messy bun, and my eyes were hiding behind thick, dark eyelashes.
I glanced down at my dress, remembering how beautiful it was. The blue really complemented my eyes, and the silver was just stunning.
"Ready?" Sarah tugged on my dress, handing me a pair of gray heels.
I inhaled, starting to feel nervous. "Mhm."
"Remember, you're just there to chat some, nothing too demanding."
"Thank-you, Sarah, for everything. The dress, my makeup, I can't thank you enough."Pulling her into a tight hug, a single tear streamed down my cheek.
"Now hurry on, wouldn't want to be late." She playfully shoed me away, waving her hands at me.
I left the room and approached the main door, nervously turning the knob so the door could slid open. I peeked outside, catching a glimpse of Adrian, Joakim and Ace..
They were all dressed in suits, and Ace caught my eye. His white suit was accompanied with a black tie, and a black rose. His hair was somewhat pulled back, showing off his ears.Hell, he was gorgeous.
Ace POV:
There she was, all dressed up and beautiful.
I couldn't help but stare at her remarkable dress, and of course, her stunning face.
She seemed to have makeup on, since her eyelashes appeared thicker, her eyes were brighter, and her skin was flawless.
All I could think about was kissing those perfect lips, but then again, I'm here for work.As she approached the limo, I opened the door for her, "You're looking beautiful..."
"Tonight," she added, a smile plastered on her face.
Indeed, we we're "tonight".I got in next to her, Adrian and Joakim deciding to take another vehicle. After all, us four showing up at once would be suspicious.
The ride was full of questions, answers, and remarks. I told her to relax and enjoy herself, clearly not wanting her to make a scene in front of everyone.
As the vehicle pulled to a stop, the chauffeur raced to open my door. I stepped out, a cold breeze crashing against my skin. The sunset and very few stars decorated the evening sky, displaying an extraordinary scenery.
Once Hazel was out, I took her hand in mine, and we gradually made our way up the long stone stairs that led to the main entrance.
If there's one night I won't allow myself to forget, it will most definitely be this one.
