Wendy's POV

"Get up, Wendy," a quiet voice whispered into the dark.

I sleepily opened my eyes and looked around. "What?"

Then I realized that Hook was standing outside of his cage holding a set of keys. Behind him, Blackbeard lay on the ground, obviously unconcious. I shot up.

"What's going on?" I asked, completely awake.

A mischevious smile spread across Hook's face. "We're taking back the ship."

He unlocked my cage and helped me out, handing me a sword. "Ever used one of these?"

I felt my own grin as I tested it's weight. "Oh, yes."

"That's my girl," Hook said happily, "Now follow me."

He waved me behind him, and we snuck up the stairs. The sunlight blinded me for a few seconds, but I quickly got used to it.

I turned to Hook to ask what the plan was, but he was already clambering on top of a crate. Before I could say something, he banged his sword on the wood and shouted,

"Attention, mates! I am the captain of this vessel, and all those who betrayed me will walk the plank! It's bad form to commit mutiny!"

To my utter disbelief, the entire crew cheered. Shouts of, "Captain Hook!" echoed across the deck, and Hook stood on the crate looking extremely proud of himself.

Suddenly, a dirty, black-haired pirate pushed his way through the crowd. Blackbeard.

"Hook! You are not the rightful captain! I took this ship from you!" He shouted, looking murderous.

Hook laughed. "Ah, mate, that wasn't a fight. A true pirate has a code, and you do not follow it. Traitor!"

Shouts from the crew backed up Hook's statement, and he reached out a hand to me.

"What do you say, Wendy? Is it a pirate's life for you?"

I was about to answer, when a very familiar boy landed in the middle of the deck. Peter Pan.

My mouth fell open. What was he doing? Hook jumped down from the crate at once, and stepped protectively in front of me.

"What do you want, boy?" He growled.

I shouldered past him and marched up to Peter. He smiled at me, and said, "Wendy, I'm here to rescue you."

I slapped him. It must've been a funny sight, the girl in the nightgown holding the sword slapping the boy in hunting clothes.

"What the hell, Peter? You think you can just show up here and rescue me? Well, guess what, I don't need rescuing anymore." I was furious. "You used me, and now you're here? Get off this ship right now. I never want to see you again. You are a heartless monster."

I ignored the voice in my head telling me to stop, to hang on to some kind of desperate hope that the whole thing was a misunderstanding, but it wasn't. I'd seen proof that Peter was a villain. I could barely stand to look into his impossibly green eyes.

Peter took a step back. I saw his features locking, his walls going up, and I felt awful.

"Peter, I'm-"

"Stop." His voice was distant and cold.

"W-what?" I asked.

Peter held out his hand, and a long, thin sword appeared. I gasped, and held up my own. Peter rolled his eyes and pushed me behind him. I looked over his shoulder to see Blackbeard standing with his own sword at the ready. Peter's blade slashed through the air, cutting a gash through Blackbeards arm. The pirate roared in pain, and swung his sword at Peter, who was distracted by me jumping forward. There was no way I was letting my skills with a sword be wasted.

I blocked Blackbeard's jab, and suddenly everything else was a blur. I was swinging, side-stepping, and sparring, not paying attention to anything else except the fight. Every ounce of anger I had towards this despicable man came out through my sword, and I was winning. I felt something swish past my cheek, and then Blackbeard froze in place. I stood with my sword in the air, and looked around.

Peter had used his magic to freeze Blackbeard. I lowered my weapon and turned to glare at him. He walked right up to Blackbeard, and said,

"that was for taking her."

He took out a small hunting knife from it's sheath on his belt, and slashed the frozen pirate's cheek.

"That was for infiltrating my camp."

He raised the knife again, and Hook stepped forward.

"Excuse me, but I believe that the Jolly Roger is my ship, which means I'll give out the punishments."

Peter looked up at Hook and sneered. "You're keeping her here, too."

I found my voice. "No one is keeping me here," I snapped, "I'd rather be here than with you."

I regretted saying it the moment the words left my lips. I didn't want to admit that I still loved him.

Peter lowered his knife in astonishment. Not saying a word, he tucked it into his belt, and his sword materialized into nothing. He turned away from Blackbeard, who fell to the ground.

Peter's voice was as frozen as Blackbeard had been moments ago. "Fine."

He turned to go, and then turned back. He waved a hand in the air, and I felt my body freeze just like Blackbeard.

"Don't follow me," Peter said.

As he did, Blackbeard snaked a hand across the deck, unnoticed by everyone else, and stuck something to Peter's shoe. I tried to say something but I couldn't open my mouth. I tried harder, but Peter turned and flew off into the sky towards the camp. The second he was out of sight, I unfroze. I whipped my sword in front of me, and held it at Blackbeard's throat.

"What did you do to him?" I demanded.

The pirate smirked. "Why would you care? He used you."

"Tell me." I ordered.

Blackbeard gave me a roguish smile, and disappeared into purple smoke.

Hook was at my side in an instant. "Are you alright, lass?"

I sighed. "I'm fine."

"Well, I think it's about time we got you some clothes." He said, and put a gentle hand on my shoulder.

I nodded, forming a plan in my head as he led me below deck. I could probably sneak off the ship tonight to warn Peter about whatever it was Blackbeard had done to him. Hook was a fairly deep sleeper, and the others all had quarters on one side of the ship.

I'd decided before I even took off my nightgown.

I was going to save him, no matter what. I was going to save him, because he saved me.

Wow that was a long chapter! Don't worry, the next one will have Peter's POV.
