Chapter 7

Lance followed Keith everywhere. School, home, streets, etc. The only place he seemed to never follow him into was the toilet. It leaves Keith on edge. Sure, Lance allows Keith to talk to people but he's still always there.

No matter who Keith's with or who Keith's waiting for, he can always count on Lance to be there. The boy was like the plague. Keith hated it. Yet, he could not speak up about it. Who knew how Lance would react. He might even do something to make Keith seem even weirder.

Keith had no idea what the boy wanted. Lance knew everything. Every bit of information Keith received Lance also received. It can be a bit weird knowing this person could pull out anything at any moment.

The weirdest thing yet is that Lance's presence is becoming more known- without actually being known. The people around him feel as if someone is there. They feel like there is always another person taking part on their conversations. Another person is reacting to their statements. It seems like no one is, yet there is. The feeling they get is extremely unexplained.

Lance is getting even more clingy. Keith had to try his hardest to keep a straight face when someone is literally clutching onto his arm. Every time Keith even spoke to someone, Lance would cling to him like some sort of magnet.

This was one of these circumstances. Hunk had came over to Keith. He just wanted to ask if Keith wanted to come over to his place after school to try some of his cooking. Keith was just trying his hardest to focus on the boy and not the pest clinging to his arm. It went of for much longer, even after Keith had agreed to go to Hunk's.

Hunk had long since gone and Lance was still clutching onto his arm. Keith had no idea if this was a way of Lance to show his respect or for him to be clingy. Keith had awkwardly started to shuffle to his next class. Lance was preventing much movement. The people in the hallways gave him weird looks. They had taken note of his questionable movements. Keith just hoped none of them would question why he was moving in this way.

"I'm going."

Lance scowled, "No. You are not going."

"Why do you care so much?" Keith snapped, "We agreed that I can try to have friends."

"I know." Lance replied, "But we also agreed that you give me more attention. You have been talking to these people all day."

"So?"

Lance frowned, "It's our turn to hang out."

"It's just a couple of hours at Hunk's," Keith stated, "I know you are going to follow me there anyway. So, why do you care so much?"

"You have been paying attention to them. Not me. I need some of that action also."

Keith replied, "Yeah, I'll give you that after."

"You don't know how I feel!" Lance snapped back, "You ignore me all day. I hoped we could go back to the way we used to be. You're not exactly making an effort to."

"What if I don't want to go back to the way we were, Lance. I'm happier now."

Lance scowled, "You could at least make me feel special."

Lance had his hands clutching Keith's wrist. He really did not want him to go. His nails dug into Keith's pale skin. Lance kept a firm grip, as Keith tried to walk away. Keith violently jerked his wrist towards himself. He fell out of Lance's grip. He looked the tanned boy in the eyes. Obvious hurt covered them.

"I'm going and you are not stopping me. If you want to be around me, I'll be at Hunk's."

Keith quickly stomped towards his bedroom door. Lance just stayed, glued to his spot in reject. Keith glimpsed back, for a small second to make sure Lance was not planning anything. When he was assured, Keith opened his door. He swayed out into the hallway. Keith even slammed the door after him.

The smell of cinnamon filled Hunk's house. Keith was never too keen on the itchy smell. Now, when it's been mixed with Hunk's cooking, Keith can finally say he enjoys the smell. Hunk's cooking is indescribable. The boy can feel his mouth water just thinking about it. The perfect mix of flavours and love- perfect.

Keith was glad he turned down Lance. It was not like the tanned boy didn't follow him. He made his appearance about an hour into Keith's time. Yet, he did nothing. Lance just sat at a distance. He had a cold look in his eyes. He was quite obviously hurt- not like Keith cared. That boy was way too clingy for Keith's liking.

The blue eyes of Lance pierced the back of Keith's head. He had to ignore it in favour of a good time. Keith truly wanted a good time at Hunk's. He did not need some stalker to ruin his day.

It was an understatement to say Keith was sad to leave. He had had the best time in a long while. Hunk had been the greatest host to even imagine. Keith was exited and thrilled to see that clump of sunshine tomorrow. Keith left with the most genuine smile he has ever had.

All that harmony just had to be ruined by one person. As soon as Keith is out of the door, Lance grabs Keith's shoulder. Instead of it being Lance's normal comforting squeeze, Lance digs his nails into Keith's skin. The grasp is deadly and the daggers attached to his nails drew blood. Keith quickly spun around at the contact.

"What the hell is that for?!"

Lance sighs, "You went."

"Of course I did!" Keith snapped, "You were there."

"Yeah," Lance replied, "Unwillingly."

Keith glares at Lance, "If you hated it so much, why did you come?"

"I needed to make sure you were safe."

"Oh will you shut up about that. Every second you go on about how these people will hurt me. What makes you some messiah?"

"Because I won't use you," Lance snapped, "I care."

"Oh do you now?" Keith sneered, "Someone who actually cares would be alright with me hanging out with others."

Keith flung Lance's hand off his shoulder. He began to storm off. He had to get away before somebody caught him talking to nothing. He knew Lance was following him. He did not care. His pace quickened. Lance's did also. Before Keith could actually get away, Lance trapped him is his arms.

"Don't leave Keith."

Keith turned over in frustration. He was met with Lance giving him a face like a kicked puppy.

"You know I would never do anything to hurt you, Keith."

Keith sighed, "Well you're certainly doing a crappy job at that."

Lance replied, "I am aware that you think I'm hurting you."

"Because you are."

"I'll make it up to you then," Lance tells Keith, "If you think I'm being a bad friend, I'll just have to show you I'm a good one."

Keith groaned, "Then what are you going to do?"

"Come with me."

"What?"

"Tonight, I'll be the best friend you need."

Keith snapped, "I don't want you to."

"I'm going to do it anyway."

Huzzah. Another chapter.

I am trying my hardest to get back into the fling of writing. That means trying to update my fanfictions on a regular basis. Right now, I'm updating this one. Unfortunately, I think I have just been hit with a writers block. Lucky McFucking me.

I'm also debating weather or not I should upload this story to Quotev. I have not been active on that website for a long time. I really want to upload something to it but I dunno.

I'm rambling now. I've watched The Emoji Movie today... I just feel empty and tired. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE VOLTRON EMOJI MOVIE AU.

I did not proof read this chapter at all.

Bye~
