"Look out! Move!" Bright lights, screaming, crash! Only this time, George wasn't there. And I didn't make it.

I rose up out of bed quickly, sweat running down my forehead. I used the back of my hand to wipe it away. I rubbed my eyes and though to myself. Thank God it was only a dream.I swung my legs over the bed and checked the time on the small alarm clock by my bed. 5:34 am. Great. I'm not gonna be able to go back to sleep now. I stood up and made my way into my bathroom.
I splashed some cold water on my face and wiped it off with a towel. I stepped out and walked to my front door, grabbing a pack of un-opened cigarettes. I slipped on a pair of slides and stepped outside my front door. I took the elevator down to the lobby and I stepped out of the front apartment building. Yes, I have a small balcony, but I wanted to go on a walk.
I pulled out a cigarette and felt around my pockets for a lighter and quickly realized that I didn't have one. I sighed and took the cigarette out of my mouth and put it back in the box. "Maybe later," I said to myself. I put my hands in the pockets of the plaid pajama pants I was wearing, along with the cigarettes, after pulling my shirt back to cover my shoulders a bit better.
I began to walk around the circle around my apartment. It's just a couple of left turns, and you wind up in the same place you started. Lately I found myself doing this a lot when I can't sleep. I turned the first corner, which lead to a little bit of a busier street. I sighed and watched the headlights pass me by.
Next left turn, I find myself behind my apartment building. There's a small playground that's behind it. It mainly consists of a couple of swings, three boring slides, and a merry go round. I looked at it as I walked past. The wind blew slightly and the swings swayed back in forth a little bit.
Next turn, and I'm practically on the home stretch. I saw a man leaning against the building, smoking a cigarette. I recognized him. He was one of the guys that is in charge of being at the front desk in the lobby. I walked up to him and asked if I could borrow a lighter. He nodded and tossed me a BIC lighter. I took it gratefully and finally lit the cigarette that I needed. I handed him the lighter and leaned against the building next to him.
"Man, night shifts gotta suck," I said and blew out a bit of smoke.
"It's not too bad, I mean, you get used to it. And, you can usually take a smoke break when you want to, cause there's not that much activity," he said and flicked ash to the ground.
I shrugged my shoulders and agreed. I took a drag from the cigarette as I watched a car drive pass us. It was a really odd color. Like an olive green almost, and it looked absolutely awful. "Interesting choice," I said and rose my eyebrows at the creation.
He replied in a shrug as he put his cigarette out on the wall, and tossed it into the street. "I guess people like what they like. Have a good night ma'am," he said with a small smiled, and he walked around me and into a large door marked 'employees only.' I let out a long sigh and took my final puff from the cig, and put it out as well.
Final left turn, and right back in front of the apartment. Sometimes, if I'm still not feeling it, I'll go on another lap or two, but I figured I should get my rest for my filming job tomorrow for George. I pulled open the large door and acknowledged the man that I had just shared a smoke with. I took the stairs up to my room, and opened the door that I had left unlocked.
Instead of going back to my bedroom, I grabbed an ice cream container from the freezer and settled myself on my couch. I pulled the lid off and ate what was left of it, which honestly, wasn't much. I set the now empty container on the coffee table and grabbed one of my throw pillows. I cuddled it pretty tightly and closed my eyes. I guess I dozed off to sleep, because I don't remember anything after that.

I could hear the alarm going off in my room. I groaned and got up from my position on my comfy couch. I walked to my room and turned the annoying sound off. It was now 7:30 am. I barely slept on the couch, I mean I did, but not good.I got into my shower and let the hot water wake me up. Once I got out, I wrapped my hair up in a towel as well as my body. I sat back down on my couch and turned on the morning news and learned that there was going to be a high of 95 degrees today, and it was going to be sunny all day. Good filming weather.
I eventually got up and made my way to my room and found what I was going to wear. I decided to go with something that was comfy, but still fine to go out in. Meaning, I was wearing my favorite Marilyn Manson shirt with a pair of grey shorts that were ripped at the bottom. I tossed my hair up into a messy bun and threw on a little bit of mascara and under-eye eyeliner. Nothing fancy.
I got back out to my kitchen and decided to whip up some breakfast. It was now about 8:15. I got out the things I needed for pancakes. Including a bag of chocolate chips from the fridge, because you can't have pancakes without chocolate chips in them. I thought for a minute, and decided to make some extra for George in case wanted some. Then I continued thinking, and ended making about twenty pancakes to take to all of the boys.
I sat down at the island and ate my three pancakes and sighed at the huge mess that I had managed to make. Who knew making twenty pancakes could get this messy. I finished up my breakfast and began on the clean up process. I was almost finished when I got a knock on my door. 8:57.
"It's open!" I yelled as I put the chocolate chips back in the fridge. "Dude, you came just in time, the pancakes aren't too terribly cold yet," I turned around to see George who was followed by a tall brunette guy and a brunette with thick hair.
"Hi, I'm Rose. And don't worry, I made like sixteen extra pancakes," I said and smiled.
George walked up to the island which had three plates stacked with pancakes on them. "You...are fucking amazing," he said and pointed at me. I smiled as he picked up a plate. The other two did the same.
"Well, we sort of met yesterday, but this is Max," Ian said and introduced Max, who was already stuffing his face with food. He glanced up and tried his best to wave, nearly dropping the plate. I smiled and laughed a little.
"Yeah I know. I would've done the whole fan girl act again, but I'm too fucking tired. I didn't sleep well last night," I said and sighed. I pushed myself up on the counter and leaned against the fridge.
"What happened?" George asked, leaning his shoulder against the front of the fridge, continuing to eat his breakfast.
"Let's just say we never met. And splat," I said and clapped my hands together.
"Ooh shit, no wonder you're tired. What'd you do all that time then?" He asked.
"I got up and took a walk around the block, had a smoke, and made a friend. That's about it."
"Interesting."
They all finished their food and put the plates in the sink, with the dishes that I never managed to do last night. "Whoops, forgot about those," I said to myself.
I grabbed my phone and my sunglasses. "Alright cunts, let's go do this shit," George said and clapped his hands together. And with that we all walked out the door.
